Good tester for the price
I am very satisfied with it. It does the job. Hook it up to your car battery using the included cables. (It uses your car battery to power itself, you you don't need to put a battery in it.) Choose 6V, 12V or 24V. Then enter the cold cranking amps number written on top of your battery. Then hit enter. That's it. Now you will see the results of five important tests of your battery. They are: state of health, state of charge, internal resistance, actual cold cranking amps and open circuit voltage. For each one, you get a numerical value and an assessment as being either "good", "normal" or "poor". (I think "normal" means just so so.) This way, you don't really have to understand what the numbers mean, the device will tell you whether the values are good or not. This tester was inexpensive but I find it to be sturdy and well made and easy to use and as far as I can tell it gives accurate results. The price was very affordable. I value having five test results for my car battery. For example, if the voltage is low but the state of health is high, then just recharge it. But if the voltage is low and the state of health is low, then maybe its time to get a new battery. Car batteries aren't cheap, so I felt that this tester would pay for itself by helping me to make better decisions about when to replace the car battery. I would recommend this tester. It's a good one for the low price.

No battery needed to power the tester!
Worked perfect to check the 12v battery in my Kia Niro EV at a great price, also no batteries needed to power as it uses the cars 12v battery!

It Does NOT have an "AH" setting to test deep cycle/marine
You hook it up and select voltage and "CCA" only. No way to accurately test Marine/deep cycle rated in "AH"I tried a conversion chart on line, but most say that is not accurate way since deep cycle needs to maintain voltage over much longer period. The listing clearly states it will test "AH" batteries......it does not. No tech support available either from MFR

Works well, provides more info than just state of charge
The screen is small, it is still readable.I used it mostly for state of charge on my batteries. It is a good value.

? Working?
I received the product and immediately read the directions. Following the directions, I installed it. Positive to positive and negative to negative. I immediately noticed the display come up. I thought this was odd as I hadn’t connected the c terminal. I connected the c terminal to a switch. It didn’t do what the directions said it would do. Going to submit a request and see what happens

Never having tried one of these before - this BM560 was a real pleasure (and easy) to use
I am so glad that I purchased this BM560 battery and charger tester. Now do be advised that this model is marketed under a half dozen different brand names, even though it's the very same unit. Many Asian manufacturers tend to do this - that is one OEM company actually making the product, but then being distributed under various brand names. It's just a fact of life.I have never used one of these devices before and whenever I wanted to test a battery, I usually took it to a car parts store to have them do it. Or, I waited until the batteries failed (which is never a good idea). The instructions are easy to understand, and You Tube has tons of videos on how to use this BM560 battery tester, so nobody should be in the dark as to how to set things up and do the testing.I was able to accurately test both my wife's and my batteries in a jiffy, along with testing to make sure the alternator was charging the battery. For twenty something dollars, it offers a great deal peace of mind when it comes to battery life, and nothing is more irritating (and shocking) as when you go out to try and start your car (because you have to be somewhere), only to have a dead battery. Then you're left to wonder if it was your battery that was the issue, or was it a faulty alternator - or both!Granted, there are far, far more expensive models out there that offer the ultimate of accuracy, however, this BM560 series of testers are very close to bringing you the accuracy that you need. Just in case, I took my car to my local Pep Boys where I know one of the mechanics. He brought his testing device, which was much larger and more expensive (a commercial model), and his readings were very close to what the inexpensive BM560 indicated. So there you have it - in my opinion, it's well worth the money and it does a credible job.
