Comes horribly , dry and dead

One of the branches was broken and then went brown and needed to be removed. Probably broken when dropped into the bottom of the very tall box.

Beautiful plant when it arrived and now weeks later. Easy to look after too.

Thanks to careful packing in a large botanical shipping container, which holds the pot securely in place, this arrives in perfect condition except for a minor quantity of dislodged soil. The pot is wrapped in paper and this has been sealed (with sticky paper, making all packing fully recyclable), so the lost soil is easy to tip back into the pot. I would therefore have no concerns about having this shipped direct to someone as a gift. The plastic pot does not include a saucer, so plan to get one if you don't already have one to use.The plant is very healthy and looks like it has been well cared for before arriving here. Bonsai are notoriously difficult to look after so, despite the product listing commenting it is easy, be wary of over watering and follow the guide to do this no more than once per week. I will be using a spray bottle rather than a jug so that I can keep more control.I have placed it on a sunny windowsill where it should catch the right amount of light. It looks healthy and full of life; I suspect it will be down to me if it fails to thrive. It is well packed, would be a good gift to send to someone and should arrive in good condition in my experience.

Would not recommend buying this. I was scared it would give whatever disease it had to all my other houseplants so put it outside, think it will probably go in the bin.

This is actually a very nice little plant, it is about 14" tall and comes in a 6" plastic pot, but no saucer. It looks very healthy, the thick stems at the base are nice and plump and firm and the foliage is glossy and vibrant in colour. So, all very good, so why the low rating.When this plant arrived the packaging looked very impressive, a tall very strong square cardboard tube, clearly marked which way up it needed to be, however when I opened it, I was very disappointed by the careless way it had been treated, there is a brown paper cone around the pot which is, I presume, intended to catch any compost that might escape during transit, but this had obviously folded over when the plant was being packed and so the plant was actually sitting on top of the paper in the compost from its previous pot. The fresh compost that should have been around it was loose in the bottom of the box.I would love to be able to say that I hope that this was an isolated example, but I ordered anoter plant at the same time from the same supplier and it had similar issues.On a more positive note the box, paper and even the tape holding it together is all recycleable.My final criticism is the price, looking around at various sites selling plants etc. there are lots of this variety of plant in a similar size available for around £15, at the time of writing this product is priced at £26.24, which I think is very expensive.If it wasn't for the lack of care and the price, this would make a lovely present, but I just can't recommend it.
