Works great, our apartments do not have AC, so this has been wonderful to have. No issues, easy to set-up, the unit is small but the hose comes out the is awkward and takes up space. The wind can blow back through the window vent and it comes out the back of the unit, I just cover it with a towel. I don't mind a little fresh air but want to keep the outside cold air out when I am not using the unit. Also the exhaust hose can be warm which will and warmth to the room (don't want if using AC), so I cover my exhaust hose so it doesn't radiate heat in the room.

Used this in my semi-truck for two seasons. Was a great a way to save on fuel and not having the idle the truck in the hotter climates. Had it running of a small camping generator and kept me cool all night. Remote is super convenient obv.

There isn't much to say about this unit. I personally like it more than a window unit, especially because I can't use a window unit with the horizontal sliding windows. A few things, set up is easy and I am glad they added a sticker to set the device up right for a while before using the first time. For the ac portion, it can keep a 10x10 or so pretty cold without any trouble when set at 69 degrees, so i imagine it can cool bigger rioms as well on lower temps. The only thing I wish it had is a slower fan setting. The unit is not loud, but is louder than some window units (again, the noise level isn't bad). There are only two fan speeds, I feel like if they had a third that was slower it would be quieter. All in all, it's not much louder than window units and works great!

I bought four of the 10k btu model and so far so good. Follow directions and leave the unit upright, unplugged for at least 24hrs after unboxing. There's oil inside that must be pooled at the bottom before switching it on. It relies on gravity for this but who knows which end was up during shipping. Just don't ruin it like you've done with everything else in your life.These 10k btu units cost slightly more than 5k btu units from the big box stores so it's a good deal. The catch is power draw, they aren't the most efficient, but i knew that going in.The 10k btu model draws 7 amps when cooling, but can surge to ~ 13+ when the compressor starts. So ideally you want one of these per 20a circuit. Two on a 20a circuit will work for a while until you get bad timing between the surges.The exhaust tube is on the cheap side and thin. You'll get a lot of heat off the tube while it's running. I used 6 inch duct sleave insulation and dryer vent tape from the hardware store. That worked great.

Directions were better than another model I bought a few years ago. Unlike others, as I have an older model in another room, I do not think this one is noisy at all. Window a/c models are MUCH louder, which I quite using. It cools off the room well, especially on VERY hot/humid days. The only negative I have with this model was the hose connecting it from the window to the a/c unit. It did not fit properly at all, like something was missing. So it is duck taped to keep it in place and this comes out if I move it at all (which luckily is not necessary). But it works very well and that is all I care about.

I should have read more RECENT reviews, that it appears, are of similar nature to mine. The Unit heats, or simply runs the fan. If you only wish to circulate the air, buy a fan at a fraction of the price. Seems the Manufacturer is knowingly dumping dysfunctional products. READ REVIEWS!! The reviews are trending to poor performance. Once you power on the unit, you can hear the fan AND compressor start. The compressor, the cooling component of AC units, begins compressing the R32 coolant. This assuming refrigerant was even added at production time. But the cycle lasts only a few moments. That is insufficient time to result in cooling the condenser in front of the fan. Thus, cooling effect not created. As the system continues to run, heat builds up so the fans spreads that into your room very effectively. Evaluation of the humidity lowering feature would be fruitless. If it can't cool, it cannot dehumidify.

I had a feeling it was going to be a hot summer and I was right. I had to do a little engineering to get the tube to fit in my window but the AC works well. Sometimes its range isn’t very large, but my apartment is small and if I point it right at me, it’s fine.

It works the bare minimum. I wouldn't buy this due to the lack of "cold air". It's portable, easy to install, I like that it has wheels and it's easy to move around, but it's just not cold.
