This was sturdy and has been the perfect solution for my 90 year old mum getting in and out of taxis and cars when she has previously struggedl she has told all her friends about it as so impressed.only think she didnt like is the weight as quite heavy and as she takes it everwhere with her it weighs down her hand bag , .

An excellent piece of equipment, that can probably be attached to any car, enabling older or less able to both get in and exit the vehicle.

This is really helpful, was a little worried as it says fits 99% of cars and some folks have found it does not fit their car, luckily this fits my Toyota Corolla TS 2022 so am very happy, and it works a treat, easy to fit into the door catch, is very stable and allows a good strong grip, and also easy to remove again. It is nice it is fully covered so do not have to worry about any potential scratches to the paintwork/metalwork. Highly recommend and hopefully it will fit your car too.

This is brilliant i am 76 with dodgy knees and a walking stick. This is a great tool. I particularly like that it does not have the cold metal edge. I can pop it in my bag without worry to use on another car. Used it last night for first time. Very happy.

Well made sturdy item but unfortunately did not fit a Dacia duster gave it four stars for quality.

This gadget is so easy to use and very helpful for my elderly disabled Mam. I was worried putting a lot of pressure on it might damage the car but it doesn’t at all. Very effective & I would definitely recommend.

This product has been a godsend for my husband it really helps him to get out of the car, who ever invented this was a genius.

I wish that measurements were in cm. We learnt how to use cm in the 70s and inches are only used in height and ft. It seems less accurate and annoying to have to convert anything.

I purchased this Vive Car handle assist gadget after I saw one at the Occupational Therapy session at Holy Family Rehab hospital for my Mom. My 97 year old Mom fell and broke her hip a couple months ago and required emergency hip replacement surgery. At the hospital she was practicing how to get in and out of a car with her therapist. I am so pleased with this door handle assist tool and have since bought another for my sister's car so she can help my Mom too. Other people have seen it and asked where I bought this tool. It's super easy to use and does not scratch up my car door latch as it's made of heavy duty plastic. The plastic tooth part that goes inside the latch does get scratched a bit but my car remains safe and unscratched. The tool is heavy and has a good grip which makes it sit on the door latch sturdily. I just hook it on the latch after I have my car door open and tell my Mom to hold on to the tool when she gets in and out of my car. It has supported my Mom's weight (she's only 114 pounds) but I am sure it can handle a heavier person's hand and arm. She is more sturdy on her feet when she holds the door assist and getting in and out of the car is alot easier and safer without the risk of falling or slipping down the car seat. Thank you for making such a great tool and I feel alot less stressed when I have to take my Mom out.

Works great! Latches in place, easy to use. It’s very sturdy and gives me the extra benefit of another place to grab as I transfer from my wheelchair into the car. Would recommend to anyone that struggles loading themselves into a car
