Absolute Perfection
With its extremely practical and beautifully thought out post-modern design, the Rotring 600 Ballpoint is more than outstanding. Mine is in a satin finished silver and several years old now, but shows absolutely no signs of wear and remains beautiful, in a very contemporary sense. The pen is perfectly sized and wonderfully comfortable.Though quite slim, the pen's gripping area is finely crosshatched, in no way abrasive, and provides a totally non-slipgrip. Thoughtful touches, of which there are many, includes a beveling where the grip meets the hexagonal body, ensuring a perfectly smooth transition. The top button (knock) which extends/retracts the refill is literally Caran d"Ache smooth.A slender, extremely comfortable pen, the Rotring is equally suitable for quick note taking as well as extended writing.A beautifully machined and incredibly comfortable, reliable pen.

Weighted and smooth
The rOtring 600 pen is, hands down, one of the finest pens I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. From the moment you pick it up, the weight and balance feel perfect in your hand—solid, yet not overwhelming. The satisfying click of the mechanism adds a touch of class and functionality every time you use it.What really elevates this pen, though, is its compatibility with Parker refills. This means you can pair it with your preferred ink refill to create a truly personalized and exceptional writing experience. Whether you’re jotting down notes, signing documents, or sketching ideas, the rOtring 600 delivers precision and comfort every time.If you’re looking for a pen that combines style, durability, and performance, look no further. The rOtring 600 is worth every penny!

Perfect Pen for Everyday Writing – Refined, Durable, and Customizable!
★★★★★I’ve been using the rOtring 600 Ballpoint Pen with the medium point, black ink, and black barrel for several weeks now, and it’s easily one of the best pens I’ve ever owned. I’m giving it a full 5-star review, and here’s why.Design and Build QualityThe rOtring 600 is a masterpiece of precision engineering. The matte black finish on the solid metal barrel feels premium and professional. Its hexagonal shape not only prevents it from rolling off the desk but also adds a unique aesthetic that stands out among other pens. Despite being made of metal, it’s perfectly balanced and doesn’t feel overly heavy, even during extended writing sessions. The knurled grip deserves special mention. It’s tactile and provides excellent grip without feeling rough, ensuring that your fingers don’t slip even if you’re writing for hours. It strikes the perfect balance between form and function, making it both stylish and comfortable.Writing PerformanceOut of the box, the rOtring 600 comes with a high-quality ink cartridge that delivers smooth, consistent lines. The medium point is great for general use, offering bold and precise strokes without any skipping or blotting. Whether I’m jotting down quick notes or writing lengthy documents, the pen performs beautifully every time. That said, I decided to replace the original ink with a Monteverde ballpoint refill, and it took this pen to a whole new level. The Monteverde refill glides effortlessly across the page, producing even richer and more vibrant lines. The combination of the rOtring 600’s ergonomic design and the buttery-smooth Monteverde ink has made writing a genuinely enjoyable experience.Durability and PracticalityOne of the standout features of the rOtring 600 is its durability. This pen is built to last. It can handle daily use without showing signs of wear, and the robust clip securely attaches it to my pocket or notebook. The refillable design is both practical and eco-friendly, ensuring that this pen will remain a staple in my collection for years to come. Why It’s Worth Every PennySome might hesitate at the price tag, but trust me, this pen is worth every penny. The craftsmanship, the feel in hand, and the reliability make it a worthwhile investment for anyone who values quality writing instruments. Swapping out the ink for the Monteverde refill was a game-changer for me, but even with the stock cartridge, this pen is a star performer.ConclusionIf you’re looking for a ballpoint pen that combines professional aesthetics, excellent performance, and long-lasting durability, the rOtring 600 is an outstanding choice. Whether for everyday tasks, journaling, or professional use, this pen won’t disappoint. With the Monteverde refill, it becomes a writing tool that feels almost custom-made. I can’t recommend it enough!5 stars, no question. This pen is everything I hoped for and more!

Very high quality pen
The quality of this Rotring 600 pen is very high. From the look, the feel, the click sound it makes from the push button clicker, to the way it writes. Everything about it feels like quality. The pen also writes very smoothly and there is no skipping at all in the ink when writing. I am extremely happy with it.

Cool and iconic pen, a must-have, but refill needs to be upgraded
The Rotring 600 is an awesome pen for all the reasons others have mentioned. It's a high quality body, with strikingly simple, yet interesting look. It's slim and relatively small, which evokes its reputation as a precision writing instrument. The brass construction gives it some serious heft for its size. The click is robust and the cap is lightly spring-loaded, adding to the sturdy feel. One thing that just doesn't add up to me is why a pen built around precision comes with an unimpressive and unwieldy 1.0mm ballpoint refill. Aside from being a somewhat bold tip, the ink doesn't flow easily, and the consistency of ink delivery is highly dependent on writing pressure.Interestingly, Uni offers their Jetstream Edge with either a 0.28mm or 0.38mm hydrid refill. It's a pen that clearly takes a lot of its inspiration from the Rotring 600, but really hammers home the concept of precision writing. That's sort of an extreme counterexample, but I think the 600 is much better served by a 0.7mm or 0.5mm tip, and a more modern ink formulation.Overall I love the pen. The heft, form factor, and finish make it a joy to use, and I think for the ~$25 price point you can get it for here, it's a solid purchase. Just be prepared to swap out the stock refill for something a little more befitting of the pen's precision heritage.
