2,100 Asanas: The Complete Yoga Poses

Amazing Encyclopedia of Yoga
I love it. I have had this book now for about ten minutes, and it's great. I read the revues, and was uncertain, but for variation of poses, sheer range of poses, beautiful windswept vogueing, and accessibility, it's everything I'd hoped it would be and more. Obviously, do not expect to buy this book and perform positions that take daily dedication immediately, but if you know that, then you are going to find this book incredibly useful. Take it one step at a time, and use common sense. Also has a brief introduction with useful lists of poses to avoid for medical conditions, as well as a bit of Yoga philosophy.I think anyone who has gathered 2,100 Asanas into one place, and then got enough talented yogis to demonstrate them perfectly should be thanked. If anything I wish the pictures were a page each. but that would hurt by back.Love it.Masterful

Beyond Beautiful
I couldn’t be happier with this big delightful chunk of book! The information, layout, variety and the presentation is all bang on. It’s already aiding my own yoga flows and will defiantly be a useful tool when it comes preparing future classes!

Great Book
This is the biggest yoga book I've ever seen, with so many different stretches and postures. I'll be trying them out and seeing which benefit me the most.I know some will find such a heavy book bothersome to work with during stretching, but I find it easier to copy and print out the pages that I prefer, so that I'm not always pulling out the book every yoga session. It's a great book for body reference and for someone that likes to study anatomy and muscle placement.

2,100 Yoga Asanas.
This is a fantastic book, mainly for experts of Yoga beyond intermediate skills. However, in some cases the final pose bears little resemblance to the starting pose it originated from. If you are super flexible, and can balance on an eyelash with your toe in your ear; this is for you. You have to really look for intermediate poses, plus there aren't photos showing beginning/middle and final poses. Lastly, all the students are ridiculously flexible and look gorgeous! No real lumpy people allowed.

If you’re 25 and in great shape, ideal
The photos are great. The consistently in photographic quality is to be applauded. Kind of get the feeling tho that these pictures should be printed large and shown in an art gallery and the book an accompaniment to that.If you’re 25, in great shape, have been doing yoga for years, maybe have a history in gymnastics, these poses might be for you. But having done a teacher training course and been doing in person yoga classes 5/6 days a week in various parts of the country I can assure you, 99% of practitioners won’t be doing these poses. The poses themselves need a lot of warming up for, even if you’re in peak physical condition. It’s not a book for beginners that’s for sure, and a lot of the poses shouldn’t be attempted at home if you haven’t prepped the body correctly for that particular pose.

I LOVE this book
I LOVE this book, it is all about asanas, if you are looking for a book on flows, history of yoga, mudras etc then you are buying the wrong book, I collect Yoga books and this is easily the best book on asanas I have. I love that each pose is clearly photographed, gives the English and Sanskrit name and also dristhis. If you are offended by the ladies demonstrating the poses? Then try and find a book of asanas done with line drawings. This is not a book of titilation, it is a book demonstrating the beautiful art and science of Yoga. Enjoy, Namaste xx
