KERASILK Volumizing Shampoo

I've used Kerasilk for many years (and, yes, it's totally worth the money), but this is the first time I've tried the volumising shampoo. I couldn't be happier! I have waist-length hair, and although there's plenty of it. It's very fine and simply due to the lenth/weight of it, it can easily look flat. This little gem solved that problem. My hair looks much fuller without any sticky or greasy residue! Just one more fabulous product by Kerasilk : )

Most importantly, I will say that this product does (at least for a short time) seem to deliver on its promise of volume. The trade off is that I think however it does this also dries out the hair. Not only did my hair feel drier in shower but it looked drier after blow dried. This also diminished the shine I usually have in my hair leaving me with a duller end result. I will say I’ve heard from some hair experts that for those like me (fine hair) the only way to really get extra volume is to kind of rough the hair up some so I wonder if this is operating on that idea. It certainly seems to be a quick fix type thing rather than a long term solution of building the hair up like some claim to do with things like biotin (often used in “thickening” shampoos). So far, after a handful of uses I can’t say I’m totally in love. The volumizing effects seem to be fairly short lived and came at the expense of my shine and smoothness. Maybe long term (months of use) the story will change? But at this point for me it’s just, eh. Seems to just rough my hair up more than anything.

Package arrived intact but the actual product was open and the shampoo had leaked out. This is expensive shampoo and more than half of it is gone. I am not happy. Leak could have been prevented by a simple piece of tape across the cap.

Like this shampoo for volume, also smells so nice

Teeny tiny little bottle (like, travel sized), but otherwise I love this shampoo!
