Like many people in the UK it seems
Like many people in the UK it seems, I came across this band by accident - and what an amazing discovery to make. This album and in fact all of their albums are as intelligent as they are musically accomplished. I recommend their dvd "Live in Athens" too as that gives a good introduction to the members of the band in 2010, as well as being an outstanding concert. The concert opens with a wonderful rendition of the track "Lights" which I see other reviewers have also highlighted as one of the stand out tracks of this album. Go watch and listen, you won't regret it.

Not again...
Oops I did it again. Heard a great song I liked, then bought the album only to find out that it contained only that one good song and a host of fluff.Sit Back Down is the bait, the rest of the album is just filler. Bad filler. Experimental soundscape filler.I. Must. Not. Do. It. Again.

Another excellent album
Have been buying all the Archive back catologue since hearing You all look....... , and Contolling Crowds . The fusion of sweeping electronica and beautiful songs was a great new find . This album has taken a little longer for me to access but now love it .

Archive, a new chapiter.
'Lights' marks the start of a new period for 'ARCHIVE' After three albums, Craig Walker, lead singer, is no longer a part of the 'collective' Evidently the time spent with the other two members Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths has taken its toll and resulted in a spilt.'Lights' therefore features three new singers, Dave Penn, Pollard Berrier and Marie Q.This 'change' results in an album which to some is 'brighter' in sound, although to be honest the subject matter related to in the track 'Lights' isn't very bright. All in all this album is excellent. The Archive sound is intact and as appealing as ever. If you liked their previous albums, you will like this. Some may lament the passing of Craig Walkers contribution, but finally the new 'Archive' are as creative as ever, and perhaps five heads are better than three.Atb
