Electric Timer
The timer for my Quiet Coolhouse fan failed. Saw this and although it has shorter run times than my original i decided to purchase it. Since I had a similar one previously, the installation was simple. It took less than 15 minutes to install and have my fan up and running again. While the shorter run times is a small negative, in the long run it may save on my electrical bill.

Works great with a bathroom fan!
I just installed this in my bathroom to control my exhaust fan, and I am happy to report that it works perfectly. I was surprised to learn that some timers do not properly operate exhaust fans, so I got this one because it states that it is specifically for use in exhaust fans. Install was straight forward and took about 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent getting everything back inside the conduit box. I just barely made it work. Like most specialty switches, this one is rather bulky. My house has very old, small metal boxes. If you have the same problem and can't get everything to fit, you have a couple options. You can get an extender plate that makes the faceplate stick out a little from the wall or you can remove the old box, cut the hole a little bigger, and install a larger remodeler conduit box. This would be a reasonable project for a competent DIY'er, but, as with everything electrical, if in doubt, call a pro. Anyway, I am a happy camper. I can vent my bathroom without forgetting to turn off the fan and wasting heat. I own a couple of apartments, and I will be installing these in them also.

Solid Quality
This was a bit more expensive than other brands but I have used and like Intermatic units for use and they are all still working. I used this to replalcel another brand unit that went on the fritz after 1-2 years of daily use. The Intermatic unit has been in daily use for about the same length of time and it is still going strong.

Worked flawlessly I’d say, for 9 years. Then quit.
We bought and installed this in 2016. The unit worked great until 9 years later when it malfunctioned. The way it quit working is that it suddenly only will work at the 10 minute setting. Otherwise does not work. So we bought another one to replace it.

Works great!
Works great, easy to use. I have only had it in place for about a month but have had no issues so far. This replaced a mechanical timer switch that would get stuck at certain points on its rotation, so this electronic option is a much better fit for my needs. Installation is slightly more difficult than some standard switches. This switch (because it is electronic in nature) requires the neutral (usually the white wire) to be connected along with the hot wire (usually the black wire) where simple flip switches generally just interrupt the hot wire. This switch also requires you to know which wire leads from the source (your power box) and which wire goes to the load (the device that you want switched) which in my case was a ceiling fan. None of this stuff is hard to figure out, but if you are an electrical novice you might want to have some backup from someone who understands AC house wiring and can help you figure out what goes where (this is really simple for anyone who has home AC wiring experience).

Wonderful switch too control those who forget to turn off a switch
I was staying at a house for a few days and they had this same switch in their house to control the time their bathroom fans stay on. I immediately thought of all the times my fans remain on after guest go home. We have bathrooms upstairs and downstairs and at times we learn that fans have been on for days before we discover them on. It not that big of deal but I thought I would like to try it so I bought one to try. It works great. We no longer have fans running for days. The only problem is the wiring directions. We have a duel switch. One for the light and one for the fan. The directions show only how to install the switch in a single switch format. It took me a few attempts before I figured it out and got it to work for both switches. I'm planning to buy this switch for all the bathrooms.

A definite must have to remove humidity! (And lingering odors!)
Love having a timer on the bathroom exhaust fan! It's a must have to remove the excess humidity from steamy showers and to avoid mold build up. Most people will turn the fan off when they leave the room, but there is usually still humidity in the room, or you can leave the fan running and hope you remember to return to shut it off... This timer is the perfect solution to letting the fan run longer than you may be in the room and it will shut itself off after the set time! Also great if you keep the cat litter box in your bathroom. You can remove the extra odors while you clean up, and it saves on air sprays that only add to the "air pollution"!

Works as advertised
Works like it is suppose to. Details on operation: Normal short push activates shortest time, push it gain for next shortest. Once you hit the longest time listed, the next short push turns it off, if you wanted to manually turn it off. A push and hold of more than 2 seconds puts switch in hold mode and it stays on until you push it again to turn it off. If you are operating in timed mode, it will step down thru the lights as time get shorter, then goes off. Unit has 4 wires. You will need access to the neutral wire for power to the timer. I have it attached to a quiet bathroom fan and we let it run about 20 minutes after showering and it work great.
