Complete Box set of all 9 Series of Endeavour

Genius crime series, magnificently acted, and written. A must -see.
This nine - season show represents some of the best writing and acting of any crime show I've seen, and it's my favourite genre. All episodes were written by Russell Lewis, and because of this, and the man's talent, the arcs of all of the main characters are subtly and beautifully developed over the entire nine year run. In addition, each 90 minute episode is actually a movie in scope, pacing and complexity. Three mysteries convolve in each, and are skilfully woven into the character development. A tour de force of writing and concept. Shaun Evans as the brilliant (and possibly slightly autistic, but very likeable) Endeavour Morse is subtle, sympathetic and in my book, gives us a master class in acting. Roger Allam as Fred Thursday, his mentor/father figure is equally remarkable - subtle, solid, layered. The sense of period (mid sixties to late seventies) is pitch perfect, and the Oxford setting and the use of classical music make it elegiac. Altogether a transporting journey. If you love the genre you will not be disappointed. It is simply riveting, and subtle enough to be enjoyed multiple times. I'm on my third viewing now, and still finding new things. Genius.

Brilliant!!
Every actor in this was well casted. But for me Roger Allam is the star. His portrayal as DCI Thursday is mesmerising. The hard no nonsense seen it all done it all cop who takes the young DC Morse under his wing is totally believable! Brilliant script’s and brilliant acting from all. If you loved John Thaw in Morse you’ll enjoy watching this. Well recommended!!!!!

Immaculate TV perfection
Nothing else to say, its simply magical. Any Morse fan will durely have already seen it, but the way they play on historical events and develop the character that turns into Morse is sublime

Arresting
Before he became a distinguished inspector he was a young headstrong man, learning the ropes from his boss and getting some people’s backs up while always getting his man/woman. He’s not perfect and he suffers issues like we all do. All in crimes set in the 60’s and 70’s when the world and policing were changing fast.

Presentation and boxing
For £80 I found the box set difficult. No separate sleeves and awkward. Now invested an extra £10 on cardboard sleeves to store properly….disappointed but looking forward to watching it all.

Brilliant
I am thoroughly enjoying this box set. Wish I had bought it before buying and watching the Morse box set. I've already made up my mind to watch them again. Brilliant acting throughout. A couple of the actors I could knock for six. You will see who I'm referring to immediately.

Serie crime inglese top

A brilliant production. Well worth watching if you are a MORSE fan, or British Crime series.
Not too keen on the method of DVD packaging, it's very easy to mix up the series in the box.

Endeavor series 1 to 9
This is perhaps the most intriguing series I gave watched. The high definition is also 👌. If you can stand some coroner crime shots etc. You will enjoy it immensely. Mostly great music and storytelling.
