Morgan-Greer Tarot in A Tin

I like these cards. Beautiful energy and colourful. Some of the reviews say that they are 'tiny' this isn't true. I prefer them to standard tarot size. Look on YouTube for reviews to get some idea of the size compared to normal. I find this size preferable to standard size packs. Easier to lay cards out on a table and see the whole picture.If you are a brand new beginner, I would recommend starting with the rider waite pack and then moving onto these (they do those in a tin too which I also have and love). The reason is that I would say rider waite is preferable for absolute beginners is because there is some detail and explaination lost in these cards. For example 3 wands you can't see that the rods are stable in the ground and it isnt clear that you are stood on solid foundation looking out towards what lies ahead. You can't see boats in the sea on these cards. I am not new to cards so this doesn't matter to me. But for an absolute beginner you might find it easier to use ones with all the details.This pack is based on rider waite and if you already know this pack Morgan Greer pack will be easy to understand. I find the energy feels more vibrant, uplifting than the traditional rider waite but is very close up and losing some detail. The cards are gorgeous they feel nice to use. I also love that they come in a tin. Prefer this size cards to original. Easier to shuffle, to lay out and see the whole picture. These seem easier to see the story than some other sets. Recommended. I just received these today and am very pleased. I had felt a need to start doing some readings again after taking a long break and preferably wanted something fairly portable. This pocket-sized deck is ideal, the card faces being just slightly smaller than those of regular playing cards. It fits in the hand nicely, is very easy to shuffle and you don't need a huge amount of room to lay out a spread. Because the Morgan-Greer uses quite bold close-up imagery the reduction in scale does not result in a loss of detail or obscuration of included symbols. The lack of white space helps here too. This is, of course, a Smith-Waite clone - meaning that it employs mnemonic/inspirational imagery on all the minor cards, making it a very user-friendly reading tool. Some may consider it unsophisticated but I feel that it's often easier to engage the person you are reading for with less esoteric card images. As a last point, I had wondered if this might prove to be a cheap novelty edition but the overall quality is very good - decent cardstock, good printing and the storage tin is pretty solid too. I feel that this would make a nice gift item for the Tarot enthusiast in your life.

I bought this mini version of one of my favourite decks, which I already have in full size. I was surprised by the extra care the seller gave to the wrapping, the tin was well wrapped in layers of pluriball. I was a bit worried to buy this deck online as tin it's easy to dent but it arrived in perfect conditions, great thing if like me you like to keep few decks sealed as collection items. I saw this deck in a phisical shop but I haven't bought it cause it has few little dents on it, so I am really grateful mine arrived absolutely perfect.

These are brilliant, i am a professional tarot reader, doing several readings a day over 30 years, and have developed arthritis in my hands so using the large cards can be very painful, these cards are perfect size for my hands, they are reasonably priced which is great because i wear them quick quickly through using so much. The tin is handy too. I used to use the ryder waits when teaching but am now going to introduce morgan greers as an option for new trainees.They are the same size a normal pack of playing cards.

A nice compact deck with lovely colours and design. Easy to shuffle but I find not so easy to read, maybe because they are so bright and impactful, it's just a personal thing, nothing yet beats my Rider Waite Deck for professional readings,

The media could not be loaded.  Delivery super quick, literally 24 hrs later.The quality of the card stock im real disappointment in its very thin card and the colours are duller than the images shows online. I wish I had spent the extra for the larger deck now. But saying that they were cheap and you get what you pay for , I will use them for practice in my learnings and the tin is excellent for traveling .

I love this deck, the images are gorgeous, really meaningful and expressive in lovely colours. The cards are about the same size as playing cards which means they shuffle very nicely and they're very portable. If you have other full-size decks these really are a lovely addition to your collection.

I specifically bought this deck because it's a smaller deck. The cards shuffle good and are a good quality. The tin holder for them is cute too!

Su tamaño es ideal para mis manos medianamente pequeñas, su estuche me encantó es latón, el diseño del reverso de las cartas me gustó mucho, yo no las leo invertidas por lo que no tiene relevancia para mí que con fijación se aprecia su posición, la gama de colores me ha encantado y su esencia y expresión del mazo es como hacer un zoom a los significados. La calidad del papel no es resistente. Este mazo ahora está en los 5 favoritos de mi colección, ya que le di el propósito de usarlo para clarificar puntos en las lecturas.

Non conoscevo questo mazzo, devo dire che sono perfetti, dimensione piccola e maneggevole, carte resistenti e immagini chiare ed evocative ma tradizionali allo stesso tempo. Le uso professionalmente e già da un mese sono perfette in più la scatola di latta è un bel plus.

It's so cute y'all! It's a great size. I bought it having read the other reviews, knowing it was travel sized. And it's not to heavy for my daily bag. I can't tell you how many times I've been out and about wishing I'd brought a deck, but didn't because they're bricks in my bag. And I hesitate to cart around cards in their paper boxes. I lost a few good decks to lip gloss or perfume spills. The tin is lovely, I've wrapped the cards in a clothe to keep em from rattling around in there. I love the artwork, the devil card is a full on devil y'all, but I kinda like it. I love all the 70s moustache action. The artwork really held up. It's retro and a little kitschy. Maybe I just grew up seeing this deck at hippie parents houses, but it's nostalgic. The colors on this travel deck look great to me. Vibrant. The camera is zoomed in close on this deck but I really like that. The images feel simple and clean, I love the colors. The things that might bother those that are persnicity are, the tiny usgames logo, ugh!, but I personally can move past that. I do the reverse cards thing, and this logo doesn't bother me, I barely look at the cards while I shuffle. Some of the elemental symbology on the suit cards seems a little off, but, meh. The ol' time Rider/Waite symbology is there, though some of the artwork has shifted the meanings of some of the cards for me, but... That's like every single deck.Tarot decks are snowflakes. And a Rorschach. I really like this one.
