1) This worked well with my iPhone (although the included cable didn't work at all). Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of audio files on my iPhone.2) It only worked on my Android phone if I placed the device at a somewhat precarious angle.3) I have several audio players (like a Sansa Clip) that don't have speakers and used the included cable. It worked, but the volume was very low -- too low for practical use.I'm not really sure how to rate this as my experience was not great (and I have decided to return mine). However, this might work well for other people. If you have a device that will link up with the player and you do much your music listening through your mobile device this might be a useful way to access your music. You'd probably have to buy the thing and give it a try -- I hope anyone who does that have better luck than I did.

YES it actually works, I was skeptical when I first got it too. Such an amazing product for the price! Of course, not the best sounding speakers, but for $10, I definitely am impressed. Best for increasing alarm volume on your phone and for conference calls. If you want a more steady volume, there is an auxiliary port. Thankfully, company included ALL possible cables in the box. Thank you, there are sooo many different BIG companies who cheap out on sending a cable. Thank you!!! Such a good product, my roommate bought 2 of them within 5 minutes of seeing it! 10/10 would recommend.*BEWARE* this product runs on 2 AA batteries. However, you can power it via a usb micro b cable. I just have a small power bank that I carry around with it. Small price to pay for a $10 speaker.

Hmm. Nearly returned this thing, but I kept messing with it until it sang. It's a bit tricky and it's mostly hit or miss. Sometimes it's pretty loud, but a slight move in one direction and you've got nothing.I'm finding if I turn my phone upside down with my phone's speaker at an angle over the soundboard's speaker it works a little better. It doesn't work at all how they have it placed in the picture which is squarely in the middle.The sound seems to fade after a bit, like after one song. I initially charged this up with the included power cords, but the little green light never came on. When I installed batteries the light came on. I had to adjust the device's volume a few times. It holds down the papers on my desk very well.It's okay, but definitely not the best.

This was a Christmas gift for my brother. My mother-in-law has one and I think it is the coolest thing. We listen to things on our phone, but sometimes cannot hear it. In order to hear things from the phone, we sometimes use a speaker jack that requires us to remove the cover from the phone. This devise makes it so much easier. I received one for Christmas, too. I am so glad. I had already decided to get one after Christmas for myself.

There are times when I want to listen to audiobooks, podcasts, etc., without headphones, ear buds or a big speaker system. This little very portable gizmo makes that possible. I'm going to take it on vacations so that I can listen to whatever I wish via my cell in hotel rooms, without having to fuss with the radios and "docks" that never seem to work. I have a feeling it could turn into a great little sleep sound machine using some of the apps available for that, too. It lacks bass, so I don't anticipate using it to listen to music--hence the four stars instead of five. But everything else comes through crisp and clear.

Works like it says. If you are expecting high quality sound, this is not your product. I use it to listen to books on tape during my commute (don't have an aux port in my car) and it works great. I can understand everything clearly and it gets plenty loud enough. Use it in the kitchen while I cook to listen to tunes. Easy and plenty loud. Great solution to a problem for a low price!

Induction microphone speakers realistically aren't the best sound you are going to find. I first discovered this technology via a hotel room where they had the alarm clock version of this technology. I was instantly enamored. Between the alarm clocks always on technology and adequate sound (adequate not good) it was exactly what I was looking for in a background noise speaker/shower speaker, bedroom nightstand speaker. However, the speaker is not an always on/auto detect speaker like the alarm clock.For someone looking for a simple background music device and is tired of pairing bluetooth things, this is perfectly adequate. Personally I like it for the bathroom, where it's a pain to pair a phone to bluetooth for a quick shower.

I gave this product a try without much expectation. I like to listen to podcasts on my iPad while driving, but my car stereo doesn't have a hookup so the iPad volume is often too low for the road noise. This product more than met all my needs! It works with AA batteries or can be powered with a USB connector. It turns itself off to save power. It also comes with a headphone jack to connect rather than just setting it on a speaker like you see with some products on TV. I can now hear everything clearly. I am so pleased with this product and it cost half of the TV products.

I purchased this unit as a small, portable speaker to attach to an older iPod Touch. It is for my daughter to use to play accompaniment for learning choir pieces or to play accompaniment to practice violin and voice. I had reservations in purchasing this unit due to size, the plasticy housing, and the cost. Other available units were large and 'gimmicky' and just not practical. The sound did need to be of a decent quality as it was needed to provide a sound reference to learn music, and I seriously doubted it would be suitable. With the number of positive reviews I opted to try it. I was completely caught off guard by the richness and overall quality of the sound - it has completely exceeded my expectations. We use the patch cord to connect, and I also plug the unit into the headphone jack of my notebook computer as the sound is much superior to that of the computer. There is no buzzing or rattling of the case at certain sounds and the unit feels solid. The highs could be crisper, but you cannot expect that in this price range. Another great feature is that it powers itself off to conserve battery if the sound stops for a period of time. We love this unit and would give it 6 stars out of 5 if we could.
