Works with ChromeOS!
I actually really needed this for work, as we had gotten an entire new back office system running ChromeOS and our old scanners were incompatible. I needed a USB solution. Even though it doesn't specify, this works with ChromeOS and I know it's basically bastardized Linux, I had my doubts it would work. But it works amazingly! The manual comes with loads of barcodes for different functions depending on your use case! 5 stars!

Batteries Don't Last
Have two units purchased within the year, worked great. Now both are having battery issues. They will not take a charge.

great quality but scanning range is exaggerated
I manage IT at a warehouse and we purchase expensive Zebra extended range scanners to scan our location barcodes that hang about 12' Was excited to purchase as this would be an excellent value. The device build quality is excellent and the barcode scanning software is surprisingly well put together. The only complaint that I have is that the barcode scanning range is closer to 6' than 13' This device charges with a standard USB C charger which is a nice touch considering most industrial devices use expensive proprietary chargers

Works for work
I got this to use for the clock in/out computer at work. The system allows for a scanner to quickly scan our badges instead of having to use the keyboard but we were the only computer that didn't have a scanner already. Plug it in and it works right away to scan our badges with no setting up or anything. Perfect and makes it so much faster to get out of work at the end of the day.

Does not read barcodes on a screen
This may be a problem with all scanners, but just fyi, that it will not read a barcode on a computer screen or cell phone screen. But other than that, it is detected automatically as a HID (Human Interface Device) aka a keyboard in Windows. It is also immediately detected in Linux as well. Scans and types the code in instantly with a carriage return after the code.

The video goes into much more detail, including a full demo and comparison with another (cheaper) Tera barcode scanner, the 3106. Damaged barcode/distance barcode performance tested at the end of the video. However, in a nutshell: Things I liked: + Feels great, feels well constructed. Nice chunky cable that is technically detachable. + Performance is great - I tested on a variety of damaged barcodes. Works at about 35-40cm on good barcodes, about 15-20cm on damaged ones. + The continuous scan function is very welcome - pull the trigger once to start scanning and every time a barcode passes the laser, it reads and enters it. Pull the trigger again to stop. + Like the 3106, this is very customisable in terms of what is entered into the system before and after each barcode. Create and store your own prefixes and suffixes as well as other macros. Things I didn't like: - Manual has no instructions whatsoever. That's why I made a video. - Aside from the continuous scan mode, very little to differentiate this from the £13 3106 model. Do I recommend it? Yes, particularly if you have larger hands or require the continuous scan mode. If you don't have either of these requirements, the 3106 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BNN4PFLD) has been great for me and is cheaper. But this one is very well made and I can highly recommend it.
