I bought this at a very good sale price. It works fantastic and I have sharpened many different sizes of pencils and colored pencils also. It is fantastic for colored pencils- as it stops by itself when the pencil is sharp- no more grinding away all your pencils. I use it weekly sometimes sharpening upwards of 75 pencils at a setting. The wood shaving bin is a bit on the small side- make sure to empty it often. If it does not sharpen the point to your satisfaction- just pull out the pencil and reinsert- it will start sharping again- but be careful this time you will have to pull it out to stop the sharpening. The automatic stop has been great when I am in a hurry and not paying attention- No more grinding them to a stub! I would recommend this product!

This sharpener is fast, quiet, and does a great job every time. Perfect for school, home, or office use. The auto-stop feature is super helpful, and the design feels very durable. Excellent buy!

Love this pencil sharpener. It automatically stops when the pencil is sharp. Sticks to the surface. No more complaints about broken pencils tips or lost pencil sharpness. Easy to use, easy to clean, loud but quick, great design.

First I will say it worked great for the first few days but now I'm having trouble with it not turning on when I put my pencils in to sharpen them. Now for my review of how well it sharpens. Very nice! No more barrel cracks in my pencils, and sharpens them to a very fine point for coloring. Will not be going back to hand sharpening after purchasing an electric sharpener. How ever I hope I don't have to return this one, because I have noticed that now when I go to sharpen a pencil it won't turn on. No sure if I am not putting the pencil in correctly or if its defective. So I may have to return this one for another one. Hope not because I was very pleased with it until it stopped working right.

I am a teacher, and I have gone through many pencil sharpeners. This one made it through the school year. I sharpened regular and colored pencils with ease. The shavings compartment is big, and I didn't need to empty it often. My only complaint is that when I emptied it, I had to unplug it and take the entire thing to the trash can; otherwise, I would have made a big mess with the shavings. This could be due to waiting until it was completely full. It wasn't very loud, and I was able to continue teaching while it was being used.

5 stars for the one that worked. The first one I received was DOA. Sent it back the same day for a replacement. Just got the replacement yesterday. Sharpened a dozen pencils of varying sizes. Worked like a charm. Stops when the pencil is sharp. Lots of power All you have to do is plug it in and insert the pencil. It automatically starts and stops when the pencil is sharp. No waist.

I bought it on October 27 for my classroom, but did not allow students to use it...they had to go through me. Return possibility closed on November 28. On December 20, I started to sharpen a few sets of colored pencils for students to color holiday cards...it stopped dead at pencil #22. No strain, no warning, just shut down. The good news is that it was simply 1 bad product and the company quickly addressed the issue and sent me a replacement. The new one is working well, performing as it should, and I just finished sharpening 240 pencils!

I was expecting this to break quickly because it was cheap and had an auto stop function. I was so surprised that not only is it long lasting but it is also wayyyy better than the classroom sharpener I spent way more money on. The kids can use this one and know exactly when it is sharpened, there have been no jammed pencils nor do the kids have to wait awhile for a sharp tip, it is so fast and I would highly recommend.*Update, it is now 3rd quarter and it has broken 3 times, jammed from low grade pencils. I got it fixed those 3 times by taking it apart but it broke again soon after repair I have given up fixing it. So I would say great as long as you keep it to good pencils, and teach the kids not to go in at an angle. Still great for the price and it does a great job but mind the warning.
