We purchased this to replace our original RAK toilet seat as the seat pads had split. The new replacement is a perfect match, although the fixings to the porcelain have a smaller pin, so the new seat would not just exchange with old seat. Not a huge problem, and now all fitted and secure. The soft close has less resistance and I hope it doesn't get any looser. Overall very pleased and whilst not the cheapest on the market, is good quality.

Got this to replace an existing RAK ‘D’ shaped seat which had snapped on the seat. The new seat itself had a pronounced orange peel finish and compared to the pure white porcelain of the toilet bowl seemed to have very pale cream/yellow tinge. There was only a plastic ‘rawlplug’ type fitting provided whereas seats in this price bracket usually offer a rubber plug fitting option as well. I ended up using the rubber plug fittings from the original seat. All in all I expected a better quality at this price. I bought a Benkstein ‘oval’ seat for a different toilet at the same time and for a similar price. It also had a bit of an orange peel finish but not as bad and was more of a porcelain white. I would say it seemed to be of a better overall quality and came with better instructions and choice of fittings plugs.

Purchased this to replace original RAK non-soft closing seat which was constantly sliding and even when I purchased new top screw fittings the seat could not be secured permanently in position. This new design is far superior to the original. Well worth the extra cost. The ability to remove seat and cover without removing screw fittings is a brilliant design. Highly recommend. Easy to fit but additional tightening of screws was required after a few days. Since then all seems well.

Easy to fit if you use 1 brain cell🤦🏻‍♂️ because the instructions are minimal. Same as the one I had before but with quick release and soft close. The last one fell to bits with me sat on it so I ended up in the pan 😂 so I’m hopeful that the new top fitting holds better. But I will say by no means are they worth £50 in my eyes. So if you want the option to actually clean the bog well buy this model not the cheapest one as it has none of this on it .

Good value for money

Poor quality. Nothing like the Rak toilet seat I originally purchased many years ago. It’s not high gloss like my last toilet seat it’s a mix of mat and gloss. Need it so didn’t return. I do not recommend. If you know you know.

An original RAK top fit toilet seat at a discount price, speedy delivery and an easy installation The only challenge was that the top fit plastic fittings needed shaving a millimetre or two, but easily sorted and no big deal
