When putting in a bottle, turn to the right until you hear a click
If you don’t do this, you will have a mess and Water will be all over. I guess that is the chief complaint about this device. But you gotta be smarter than the device and actually turn it to where it is sealed before turning it on. one complain on this is that when you go to put pelletized dry ice in the bottle it has a slow leak. I guess that’s how they get you to buy more of them. You gotta love how people just spend more money on their products. I like this device, but I wish that it would take the blue canister instead of the pink one, the pink canister is designed to leak, causing you to buy another canister at $37 I don’t know about you but I go through a canister every two weeks. They should make restaurant ones for households just thought I know not many people would buy it, but I would depending on the fact if it might be

Why so many varieties, canisters and bottles that don’t work together?
My old machine used old bottles that they no longer make so I had to replace a perfectly working “machine” (because it’s just an elaborate valve) for an expensive new one as well as buy new bottles. I have a stockpile of CO2 canisters but I found out this machine only uses “quick connect” canisters instead of twist lock canisters I have so I have to lug my stockpile back to the store and attempt to exchange them. My son got a SodaStream Fizz and Go metal bottle and, you guessed it, the bottle doesn’t fit this new machine nor my old one! Why make all these different machines and different bottles that aren’t compatable with each other? I’ve reached out to the manufacturer to see what I need to exchange, refund or throw away just so I can have a dang drink! Ar this rate I’d rather skip the headache and go back to regular soda. Serves me right for trying to give my family a healthier alternative. One star for the soda because when everything was working perfect several years ago when this product first came out the soda was delicious and healthier than normal soda.

Great product. Be sure to pick the correct canisters.
Make sure you get the right canisters to go with it. Works great.

Highly recommend!
Love my SodaStream! I am a huge consumer of seltzer and I would always run out. This solves that problem. I use my SodaStream every day and enjoy that I don't have to run to the store to get seltzer. I haven't used flavoring drops yet to make sodas, but I am going to give it a try. I like that I can control what goes into my water. This helps with making sure I drink more water throughout the day. The carbonation is perfect, and I can go a little lighter or add more if I want. It sits out on my counter and fits perfectly under my cabinet. Overall, i would recommend this!

Functional, but noticeably cheap
As the cheapest option, its good for if youre on the fence about whether you want a carbonizer. Its pretty easy to use, but with it being the cheapest option; its rather light plastic feels cheap, unpowered so you can place it anywhere, but if you overdo the CO2 you can rupture the gasket rendering it inoperable. Had gone through two of these with a good amount but not insane amount of use. Just be aware of what CO2 canister you use, as theres two kind you can order and if you put in the wrong version, you bust the CO2 intake as well. If you know you want one of these devices in your kitchen, and can spend a few extra dollars, I would recommend one of their other models. If youre still on the fence and want it for the occasional use, this is as good option.

What an utterly and completely idiotic design. Before, the cannister screwed in, and the soda bottle was quick release. Now, the soda bottle screws in and the cannister quick releases??? Why? Why? Why? What absolute brick thought that up? You change the cannister maybe once a month, what the hell is the point of that being quick release? Every time you use the bottle it's wet, either from filling it up or from the condensation of the cold water, so you're fumbling with it trying to get it to screw and unscrew and it's a complete pain in the ass. And every single model is now like that!! What the hell for! Just to force us all to buy the new cannisters? Is that literally it? After one of the cheap crappy plastic pieces this thing is made of breaks I'm never buying a sodastream again. I'd rather go back to lugging home cases of club soda.

I think I read that the machine leaks before I bought it, and it does. But sometimes when I hold the bottle while I press the button, it leaks less. You might want to place paper towels or a bag or something underneath it before you use the machine If you’re expecting the same drinking experience as buying a Coca Cola in a store, it’s not the same. But I recommend it. It’s cordless and it still is satisfying

A great alternative to constantly buying bubbly. The machine is wireless and comes with the cylinder to carbonate the water.
