I blew it up and pushed the whole plug down before I completely plugged it. It is tricky.

Q: Does the disabled person having their hair shampooed have to hold the Inflatable tray in place with a strap?

No it has a strap. This is exactly like a regular shampoo bowl just an inflatable one. So your clients sitting position should be the same. My clients say this is more comfortable than a regular shampoo bowl. As long as their shoulders are higher the water will flow away from them.
