I have used these handles before and find them well made, easy to handle and the finish lasts a long time, however i have one complaint and that is that the internal mechanism, i.e. where the shaft is inserted, is raised slightly higher than the backing plate. This may not seem a problem but it does necessitate the drilling of a much larger hole in order that the mechanism can be accommodated and rotate correctly.If you tighten all four screws and the handle won't rotate properly even without the shaft in, this is probably the problem.

We ordered one set to try and it was fine, looked good and went on no bother. We then ordered another seven sets of the same but they were very disappointing. Some showed the beginnings of tarnish at the edges and although all seven sets were identical, some had tiny screws that would never hold and some had larger screws. We followed instructions, lubricating them before putting them on but it wasn’t easy. The handles were and still are very stiff to use. We needed replacement handles urgently or would have returned them, so just did the best we could. But they are not the cheapest and are basically good looking handles, but not in the best condition. Such a pity.

Quite a bit more expensive than a similar handle from B&Q but this is reflected in the quality. Feels more sturdy and just generally a bit more classy.I question whether they should innovate on design. It’s a bit of a pain to cut the two metal rods that go between the handles. Could there be some sort of telescopic rod that means you don’t have to use a hacksaw?It has a 25 year guarantee. I’ll edit this review in 2045 when it expires.

Firstly, the rods connecting the handles and the locks through the door are two different lengths. Thus, either you'll have to cut one of them or you can't use the other. Once assembled, the lock worked until it didn't only a few months later. It works as a handle but the design of the lock is completely unfathomable - it is doomed to fail.

We fitted this on the bathroom door so that we didn't need a full lock in the door but it's expensive and not effective; you turn a knob to lock the door but if you touch the handle lightly it unlocks with very little pressure on the door handle, the internal casting has a taper which undoes the lock, waste of time and money. 😟😟

I bought this to replace a very old set of handles.It looks identical to the one I brought off.I had a very old lock mechanism which had a smaller spindle size so I did have to replace the lock to a more modern Yale type one, which now fits perfectly.Looks good and solid unlike some other ones at the same price mark.Can highly recommend.

Two of the screws broke in half while I was fitting one of the plates; this necessitated having to drill out the broken ends which had broken off flush with the door - not an easy task and one which took a lot of extra time. Not sure if these were two faulty screws as the first 4 screws went in without any problems. I ended up reusing the screws from the old door handle to fit the new one.

This was a straight replacement for an existing bathroom door handle, since one of the internal springs had broken after 27 years of use - could not really complain. The beauty of this purchase was that all the connections were in exactly the same place, including the screw holes, so the fitting was a dawdle. And of course, the brass looks much shinier than the original. All in all, an excellent purchase at a very good price.
