Great grow light and seems well made and brighter than I expected
I just received this light 3 days ago and already love it. My pepper plant seedlings absolutely love it. I will be buying another if not more. I'm growing a wide variety of peppers: Jalapeno, Pepperoncini, long Thai, long-thin Cayenne, Caribbean Red, Bhut Jolokia (Ghost), Carolina Reaper, orange Habanero, Serrano and have a bunch more that need or will need to be transferred from my sprouting greenhouse in their peat pods to containers including Butch T Scorpion and Culantro (Eryngium foetidum A.K.A. recao, shadow beni, Mexican coriander, bhandhania, long coriander, and ngò gai). In just 2 full days the leaves have grown significantly with the 1st and 2nd true leaves appearing before I even spotted them budding. The leaves all have a very nice desired dark green color.I have no idea if the IR and UV LEDs make a difference but it does make sense to supplement the spectrum with 390nm-UV and 730nm-IR. This is something I don't know a whole lot about.I love the 4-point hook/hanging system and the included braided steel cable hanger with all the necessary hooks (+extra hooks) is excellent. The fixture itself is very light weight so the steel cables are more than up to the task and I think superior to chains which are common with light fixtures. The cables are all securely, carefully and evenly crimped together to form a hanging loop in the middle with a nice thick crimping sleeve and they are not twisted which would cause uneven hanging by making it want to twist. Each of the 4 ends which are exactly the same length are looped and crimped to give you loops to attach to the 4-points on the light fixture. All of the included hanging accessories are straight and un-bent or kinked so the light hangs perfectly level.I do think there could be improvements BUT for the price I believe this light is hard to beat. I think it could be a better design if the light was rectangular instead of square. Maybe a width-to-length ratio of 2:3 or even a 3:5 would be better for even coverage. A vast majority of growing trays and seedling greenhouses are rectangular but it manual does state it is intended for a max area of 3ft by 3ft. and I will be re-arranging things to use a square growing space in the meantime. I like that manual gives you suggestions for above plant and above seedling hanging heights (1-2 ft and 6-10 inches). I also think the included open-ended S-hook to hang the cable system should be a carabiner style hook but this is just a personal preference. I used a spare carabiner style S-hook that I had attached to my backpack to hang it up. At least the kit came with small and sturdy clip style hooks (I think they're steel) like those that are often come with a pair of gloves to connect them to each other or on a jacket or backpack zipper slider to attach EDC gear.I can confirm that after 2 full 16 hour days and well into the 3rd that the fixture does not get hot and has not dried out or burned any leaves at all. They love the spectrum and intensity. Since the fixture doesn't get hot, I will be building a reflector system to place the fixture in. I could use cardboard covered with aluminum foil, but hot or not, fire risk is something to think about with anything electrical as well as longevity so I might go with cheap thin-gauge sheet steel or aluminum or maybe a durable plastic covered with Al foil, like cutting up an old cracked 30 gallon storage tote. I cannot wait to see how my plants progress over the next week, especially after adding a second light.I hope this light holds up over time. Some reviewers had bad power supplies and I know I have had some inexpensive ones that burned out far sooner than they should have due to cheap capacitors or wiring in the transformer.

So far So good
As a first time light user for germination I found this product quite useful. Once my vegetable seeds broke ground the light seemed to do its job quite well. My seedlings flourished. I did mount the fixture about a foot from the seedlings. I'm a couple weeks from transplanting to larger pots prior to the move to my flower beds so I haven't yet tested the lights on larger plants. There is no timer or on/off switch with this lamp however I used my Alexa plug to control these functions. You could also always use a manual timer. This lamp is light weight yet seems pretty solid. You obviously need a fixture of some sort to hang this plant light. I would suggest making a hanger frame stand out of PVC pipe which is pretty cheap and could easily support the weight of this lamp. With two different size PVC pipes creating a sleeve and several strategically drilled holes along with a cotter pin, clevis pin or even a nail to lock the pipes together you can design the stand to be adjustable. I actually used my dog grooming adjustable hanger. I simply attached it to the plant table.I ordered a couple more lights anticipating I will need them as my plants grow and have to be transplanted to bigger pots.

It works!!! Very impressed have bell pepper already!!!
Starting seedlings for when it gets warmer so I can transplant all my peppers and tomatoes outdoors once end of March comes or last frost has passed!! Man these lights, 2 for 50 is def worth it!!! They are purple lights, wear some sun glasses, the shift in light will kinda affect u going from a room to outside. U will see what I mean but my seedlings are booming!!! I use this for rainy and cloudy days!! Perfect!! I’m picky too. You just need an eye hook, screw into stud, use a s hook, loop a chain on a hook, adjust ur height and ur set. Turn it off at power strip. Dont unplug every time. I’m an electrician. Just giving tips: Edit: I love them one will cover 3 ft of light. My plants between sun and using these lights cuz it’s been cloudy, man, so impressive!! Light weight. I once bought one too strong I guess it was for bud cuz it made my head hurt. But these are light weight, led, easy to hang. Get a hook screw and screw or into a stud in a room. Take a chain, assemble hooks for lights, adjust your heights depending on plant size. Best 50 bucks ever!!!! I haven’t had to use 2nd light yet!! Yet now is the time to direct see!! I did today all day intervals between rain!!!! Buy this light!!! I promise you it is legit. I’m so picky

Not the best kind of light.
I started with this light in the seedling stage. I noticed my plants were reaching for the little white lights. Which seemed strange since there are only four. I got a better light with HPS, Led lights. The ones that look like a pause button with two little lines for the light. Plants vegged great but got too big for my grow room. I isolated the smallest one and put it under this light. It barely grew in two weeks when it was right on par with the others, just smaller. It had already started budding too. Over two weeks that plant barely grew. While the other’s buds kept growing. (Auto-flower Amnesia Haze BTW)My end opinion is that Hps, Led are extremely better. Look for the pause button lights. They use more energy and do add heat to the room, but from my experience they are the only way to go. I can’t wait to see how my next seedlings do under the good light. Photo is of the good kind of lights I'm talking about.
