Very high quality and amazingly flexible hose. Like most woodworkers, my shop space is limited. In an effort to eliminate some floor clutter, I hung this from the ceiling and now my air hose is always available. The reel retracts nicely when needed and yet locks in any extended length by listening for the clicks while deploying the hose. Really a very nice unit and it’s cleared up my shop considerably.

This works great. A few things to keep in mind:1. As you unwind the hose, you will hear a clicking sound. That means the lock is engaged and you can release the hose without it rewinding. To rewind, just pull the hose until you don't hear the clicking and it will rewind all the way. You may want to keep a hand on it if you have deployed a fair amount of hose just to control the speed.2. This item comes with the hose coiled around the spool. 65 feet of hose is pretty heavy, so I found that deploying nearly all of the hose prior to installation made the task a lot easier.3. Installation on a wall is pretty easy as two of the screw holes are key eyes this allows you to screw one of your screws (a top one) into the wall and then hang the unit on that screw while you complete the installation (putting in the other 3 screws. The screws provided are sufficiently robust.4. The kit includes some pretty thick wall anchors, but I would recommend making sure you catch a stud with at least two of the screws. Loaded, this reel is pretty heavy, and you will be pulling on it. As I mentioned, wall installation was easy for one person. If you plan to mount it on the ceiling you might want to get someone to help you.5. I mounted this on a wall that my compressor is adjacent to. If you are going to mount this on a ceiling or on a wall that is not right next to your compressor, you may need a longer supply hose.Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of this reel and the accompanying hose. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Ok, I can say this...... I can not believe how long I waited to do this.... I always used my Air Hoses, less than I really wanted to, due to the annoying after task, of ROLLING BACK the air supply hose. This I purchased this item,as my own gift for Christmas this year.... I am an older dude, have worked in my farm shops, wood working shop for decades...... and ALWAYS hated to deal with Air Hoses, unless no options were present. I installed this, WOW,, Now i have the 65 foot range. It stays up at ceiling out of way. No connect of disconnect from compressor, Just pull hose, change tool on hose etc....Done.... Then it rewinds, and no issues with the hose . 65 feet of this hose reaches most areas i need in shop.... I can,t believe, I now use this air compressor every day............even though like most my tools are all battery powered....... BUT AIR IS THE ANSWER FOR MANY THINGS...... great product....... READ INSTRUCTIONS... When Pulling out, every revolution you will hear loud CLICKING,, this is the time you gently release your pulling pressure, it Locks in Place.....

I've had this unit up for about 6 months now. It's decent. It has a few issues with trying to reel the hose back in after I've chosen the length I want. I figured it out. You have to pull for a stop close to the unit and not far away. Weird. Other than that it's soled and you can tell it's almost at commercial grade to the feel. Works well in my shop. No complaints.

Great hose reel with smooth and easy pull and good retraction. Easy to install and provides great convenience for simple air fills and tools hook up and usage.

The hose pulls out easily and locks into place without hassle, and the auto-rewind is strong but controlled. No leaks, no kinks, and the quick coupler makes hook-ups fast. Solid build, perfect for daily use.

1st, After two months of regular use I haven’t experienced and of the hose bulging & leaks that others have mentioned. The unit has performed flawlessly. I first tried a enclosed plastic housing style unit and unfortunately it didn’t hold up (ratchet failure). My shop is45’x30’ and my driveway is the same so a 50’ hose reel would regularly be extended to its limit which would stress the recoil spring but the 65’ model will have 15’ of (overhead) in reserve. This should hopefully put less stress on the spring and a longer life. The spool itself is a resilient polymer material but the entire frame/mount and arm are steel as is the ratchet mechanism. I mounted it 7’ above the floor and the recoil is strong, no problem winding up 50’ of hose in one try. The included (pigtail) hose is aprox 5’ plenty long.My system is set up with a optional regulator air dryer/filter for painting and plasma cutter and the pigtail is long enough to reach the filter and the direct line from the compressor.I rarely ever use the mounting hardware that’s included with anything but the wood screws that came with this are stout and plenty good enough. I looked at dozens of different reels and the features the airzilla offers can’t be found on any other product close to this price. Similarly equipped units with 65’ of hose sell for at least $100 more, that makes the Airzilla the best choice by far.
