I can't give the full 5 stars as I didn't actually get to use this device. After I ordered it, I found out that the problem I suspected on my van [warped brake disc] wasn't the cause of an annoying noise I was hearing. So this gauge was surplus to requirements by the time it arrived and I returned it. That said, I am prepared to give a 4 star rating just for the quality of the device. It came in a nice sturdy cardboard box and [as another reviewer said] it was machined like a precision watch and made of quality materials such as brass. Almost like finding an old tool from a byegone age, preserved in a time warp. Such a pleasant surprise in a world where so many throwaway cheapo junk tools exist. I would have liked to keep it just as a "small item of desire" but such build quality costs and I couldn't really justify keeping it when I no longer had any immediate use for it.

I haven't tried it yet but it looks very well made. Heavy. Arrived before time.

Treated myself to an upgrade and I am really pleased with the quality. Smooth and precise travel at the face, really improves the time in which I can dial in my work.

I was dubious as I have heard about so many fake ones liking about, this however appears to be legit. It’s a beautiful tool and I’m looking forward to getting some time workin with it
