Fun little time waster
My parents love to travel and they love to meet new people and play tabletop games with them while on vacation. The simpler the game the easier it is for them to quickly teach someone new and play a few rounds while waiting to do something else or as a simple fun activity while chatting about other things. They recently picked up Diced Cheese game and were really enjoying it (it is stupid simple) and when I saw Zombie Dice and how simple that was I knew they would love it. Gave it to them for Christmas and they really enjoyed it.It consists of just 13 base dice, 3 hero dice and 1 school bus die all neatly packed in a bag for easy travel. This game is really simple to learn (even with the expansion) and quick to play (so you can play a really short game or keep going as long as you want). The only die that we needed to check back on the instructions for because we kept forgetting was the School Bus.It seemed expensive for a set of 16 D6s and a D12 a kinda cheaply made bag and some instructions. (I am a dice maker and I could have made it for a lot less) but the dice are solid and comfortable to roll and the game is fun. I told them if they liked it I could also make them custom dice for it too. Was a good gift that I don't mind playing when we get together :)

Great unexpected family game, quick to teach
Santa brought my husband this gift because he loves dice with really cool images. What I didn't expect was that my kids would pick it up so fast. My 5 year old not only gets the game, but it is interesting to watch when he decides to go for it and when he calls it quits. First: I would never buy the base game without the expansions. The expansions make the game! It's those options that really give the game it's replay ability. 2nd: It's a fast light weight game. It doesn't require much explanation to just sit down and play which is super super nice around the holidays with family. My 7year old daughter had all the images memorized and wording down after two plays so I don't have to refer to the rule page for the options on the Santa dice or the school bus anymore. Bonus. 3rd: The size of the school bus dice is just awesome and fun.Cons: (and this is picky and not related to game play in anyway) why on earth does the box need to be so big? Seriously, the entire game fits in an insert in the middle 1/3 of the box. The only thing that fits the whole box is the rule sheet and that could have easily been printed to fit a small box. I carry around a small game in my purse at all times. With young kids and being a working mom, some days I need to keep them occupied when I run into work for a couple hours in the afternoon...or as we are sitting waiting for food at a restaurant, or sitting in the car while dad runs into a store without us. This game is the ideal kind of game that fits the "keep the kids entertained" for a period of time as they try and out do each other game after game. So for me box size matters, esp. when the components don't justify such a large box.

A fun game that requires little explanation
It's a nice game of "chancing" where you have to decide "Should I keep what I got or risk it all on the next roll?" and the stakes get higher each time. We haven't tried all the variants but the School Bus die is a nice and simple way to spice it up a bit. This box isn't as cool as the original edition in its tube, but it's easier to store and carry.

Crushed box but a fun game
This has nothing to do with the game itself - which is super fun and a great game to play- but the box I received was squished/crushed when it arrived, probably from being poorly handled during shipping.Zombie Dice is a fun game to have in your back pocket when you need a game that's easy and quick to learn, you can have conversations while playing because you don't have to concentrate intensely and or you just need to pass the time.

Steve Jackson never misses
I have every Steve Jackson game there is. All the sets of Munchkin Vanilla. Every Dice game of his (all Zombie dice editions, Chupacabra, Cthulu, even Hipster). I also have Munchkin Quest (please bring this back). As with all Steve Jackson games, I am impressed, have a lot of fun, and am able to get a large party of people around a table to play with little to no explanation of how the game is supposed to work. By the time I get done with my first turn, the next person is already jerking the dice out of my hand because they get it and they're excited to beat me at it.BRAAAIIINNNS!!!

Great family friendly dice chucking game!
Been a fan of this series of dice games for a while, starting with Batman the Animated Dice game. Zombie Dice is super simple. Roll brains, score points and avoid those blast die faces. First one to X points wins. I have the original and bought this for my parents as a gift. They love playing my copy and asked for their own so when we come over we can play. The included expansions really ramp up gameplay. Everyone loves the large bus die! All-in-all a fun time at a great price. Highly recommend this one!

Best Dice Game Period!
Got it for my kids at Christmas and now I take it to work daily to play with co-workers! We hold tournaments and can get it done on breaks since the gameplay is short. Plus, there's a ton of add-ons to the game that others have made-up, just have to search. I recommend getting a couple of bags of brain erasers as score keepers as it adds to the game for the kiddos. If you have access to a 3D printer, there are some projects out there for additional goodies as well.

Brrainnnssss........
This is great for anyone who likes dice games, zombies or both. I have the original dice cup version and the Hoard version, its been fun for many years. The Hoard version has the expansion packs and score pad, I prefer the original cup over the cloth bag when selecting die.
