Q: Will this unit function correctly using fatory speedometer and tachometer cables on a 1980 honda cx500?

I had to get a digital speedo cable adapter and guess the circumference to calibrate it, but it works. The tach worked fine. It’s a 1985 bmw r80. There is no screw in on the back for the speedo. It does come with a speedo cable that uses magnets but i didn’t want to figure out how to mount it so I got the adapter.

No, this is a digital meter, not mechanical. Can't use mechanical speed cable
