Works well in spite of some minor issues.
1) This intercom uses voice prompts to indicate what it's doing. I found the voice prompts a bit difficult to hear and understand. To turn on the intercom receiver, you need to long-press the power button. I don't understand the point of that other than to prevent it from being accidentally turned off without a second long-press.2) I had an initial problem with the 1 &v1/2' long USB-C cord getting pulled out of its charging base (it wasn't obvious and you might need to use a longer cord). If the receiver doesn't stay on (you might hear the "Low battery" voice prompt), check the charging base's connections and make sure that the USB-C plug is pushed all the way into the charging base. If you push it in all of the way, it's a snug fit, so it shouldn't then just fall out.3) After it was fully charged, the battery ran down in about 5 days. It was supposed to last 7, but at this point, it will mostly be staying in its charging base, so I don't expect that to be an issue moving forward.4) The permanent installation of the outside unit is not very secure. The screws are small and the plastic holder is thin. There is only a tiny screw at the bottom of the outside unit's holder that secures it and that requires a #1 Philips or jeweler's screwdriver to insert or remove it, which you will need to do each time the outside unit needs charging. It's awkward to insert it the tiny screw, easy to drop it and if dropped, you will likely never find it again. Without that screw, the outside unit can "walk" away, but you could easily pry it out anyway. The outside unit's battery is supposed to last 4 months. I suggest charging it every quarter. Whomever's job will be to do that should be familiar with what's required. On arrival and right out of the box, both batteries appeared to reach full charge in an hour each.I have not tested the range, stated at 1000 feet. It certainly worked well at 50 feet, which is all that we needed. At this point, I DO recommend this intercom for its price, performance and convenience. The alternative is a permanently mounted and wired intercom system, which is much more expensive, more difficult to install and lacks the portability and simplicity of this intercom system.
