First and foremost, it smells amazing! Very clean fragrance. If you appreciate a “woodsy” scent, this would suit you. On to my hair…I have fine, straight hair. I’ve never required a flat iron to straighten if that’s any indication. At any rate, I digress. This trio of shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner spray made my hair look, feel and smell amazing! My hair is quite long, (down to the middle of my back) and very little product was required to do the job, which is another positive note. I used about a nickel sized amount and my hair felt very clean and soft. Once I styled my hair, (head tipped upside down with a hair dryer) it was noticeably thicker looking with nice volume. I was using the Humectress formula from Nexxus for a good while. It smelled great, like coconut, but just felt really heavy.In February I started losing a lot of hair in response to a traumatic injury and was desperate to find something that could help while I dealt with the loss. I discovered this formula and it being marketed for thin and fine hair is why I bought it.The formula is much lighter, and, after 5 months so far, my hair seems to like it a lot better. A lot of reviews mention the scent of this formula. I can’t describe just what it is exactly, and it is pretty potent and off-putting upon initial use, but regular use and how the hair smells out of the shower is actually very pleasant! You just have to give yourself some time to acclimate to it. In fact, I quite like the scent now.I can’t really speak on the volumizing spray as I haven’t much used it yet as I have other similar oils/sprays.

The product is excellent but the conditioner bottle was only half full. The safety seal was missing

If you are not Really a lavender fan, this product may smell like bug spray! However, my husband says it smells like flowers and lavender to him! Sense of smell is a pretty odd thing - I love Cilantro and some people say it smells and tastes like soap! My hair is very fine/fly-away (LONG) and I find that the leave-in spray really helps with that, w/o making it heavy. I have only had this product a couple of weeks, so can not yet comment on the issue of preventing breakage.

Absolutely NO! Yes the smell is awful. It smells like insect repellent however, that is the least of my worries. I tried this once and it burned my scalp and I pulled out handfuls of hair trying to rinse it out. Two years of hair growth ruined in one wash. I’m devastated. Do not buy this.

I have fine hair and it's gotten thinner the last couple of years. I've tried products that are supposed to make your hair thicken and none seem to work on me or they make my hair look so stiff.. I only bought this because I love Nexxus Therapy and Humectress and thought it was worth a try. I was genuinely surprised at how much of a difference it makes in my hair! I used all three products (shampoo, conditioner and root spray) and my hair looks and feels thicker. The first time I used it a friend complemented me that my hair looked thicker which was quite a coincidence. Anyway, I'm online now buying back-ups. Sometimes I feel like companies stop making whatever I love so I'm going to be prepared.. This is also the first review I've written for anything, that is how much I want it to succeed so it's available in the future. I did notice some reviews say they don't like the smell but I really like it myself. All three products together really made a difference for my hair and hope it does for others so Nexxus keeps making it.

This shampoo has helped grow and strengthen my hair so much. I was struggling with thinning and easily falling hair. I used to use the Nexxus Humectress (per my sister’s recommendation) but it weighed down my hair and made it greasy in the wrong ways but not this one.

I seem to be in the minority in that I liked the smell. However, the shampoo left my thin hair in a tangled mess. I ended up having to use more conditioner than I like (as everyone with thin hair knows that too much conditioner weighs it down and makes it lifeless which just defeats the purpose of a thickening routine)and even then I could barely comb through without a lot of strands coming out. I do like the conditioner though and when used with my moisturizing shampoo it does what it says it does. The spray works well too, although you have to be careful of overusing because it's a heavy spray.ETA: I ended up tossing the conditioner too as my hair started shedding like crazy. Turns out one of the ingredients is dimethicone,which is horrible for hair.
