Good and easy to use

Almost great. The buttons were not sensitive enough. If you lose power, it shuts off and stays off. The first kind that I bought came on when the power came back. The touch buttons need to work even when your fingers are not all that clean. The similar humidifier that I bought a few years back had a manual rotating button. It was easy to see the moisture show softly and fairly damp just by rotating the button.

My state's climate is very dry so having a humidifier is essential. This humidifier is a good one to have. First of all, it is reasonably priced. Especially for how helpful it is. The device roughly measures 7 X 10 inches so it is small enough to fit anywhere in the home and not be in the way while doing its thing. Great if your house is space challenged, like mine. The directions are easy to follow. But even if they weren't, the humidifier is user-friendly. Just fill the water tank at the top of the device and chose 1 of the 3 available mist settings. I believe the tank maxes out at around 3 quarts of water, which usually lasts 3 - 4 hours on the high setting before having to refill. My husband and I use the humidifier in our bedroom and he likes to refill it when the tank is about 1/4 full to keep it running smoothly. Except when we are sleeping. Then we put it on the low mist setting and set the timer before going to bed. The device will run all night and automatically shut off when we wake up. Nice. But I have to say, the most impressive quality of this humidifier is how quiet it is. I've sat right next to it - heck, even put it on my nightstand and slept next to it, and can only tell it is on by looking at the mist furiously emanating from it. Love that! And I love this humidifier!

My wife and I used this for a while in our master bedroom and it kept the dryness down. While using it, I didn't wake up with a dry mouth or throat in the middle of the night or in the morning, however, now I've put it in my daughter's room since she has a cold and her nose is really stuffed up and this helps her breathe and sleep better so she's not miserable during the day and doesn't wake up numerous times in the middle of the night because of her stuffed up nose.Overall, I like that it's really easy to fill from the top without having to remove the lid or take off a separate tank to fill it and then put back on the unit while still being small and compact.At the high setting, I usually expect it to run around 9 hours at most, but with the medium or low setting, this could run far longer with the low setting not requiring refills every night if you leave it running all night. If you use the timer function, I could see the medium and low settings not requiring refills every night and even the high setting if you're only running it a few hours, but I'd probably still refill it at the highest setting to ensure it's not running out before the time is up.Overall, it's a really good unit for a bedroom to help keep the humidity up during the dry months.
