UPDATE : This thing is fabulous!! Check out this he photo m—you might want to zoom in a bit too see all of the hatchling teeny mosquito bodies charred to a crisp on the table and tray of the device! ANOTHER UPDATE: i’m adding another update. I adore this thing! You can see in the second from last picture that it is right near a window. Of course, we keep the window closed! But I think that flying things are attracted to windows and the light coming through them. They think that’s an exit. And then they fly into the bug zapper because apparently that mimics an exit as well. So you’ve got a double punch there. The last picture if you really zoom in, you can see mosquito and NAT parts not only down on the tray, but where they got zapped . We haven’t had a lot of flies so far yet this year, but will have a boatload of them in another month or two! This thing already killed the wind fly that we did have in the house. I’m devastated that these are not available right now! I wanted to get one for my daughter . The price is phenomenal and I’m sorry some people didn’t like it or it got broken parts but in my opinion, for my money, this thing is fabulous. Usually the flying insects have it all their own way around here out at the ranch. This has made such a difference in the house that I’m very sad that it hasn’t received a better rating. I think it deserves so much better one than it’s getting right now. I could never have seen these very tiny hatchlings flying through the air in the house! They’re infinitesimal. But one of them did bite me before I received this device, and it’s still itching three weeks later, because I’m allergic to bug bites. When I first plug this in, we had one good size fly buzzing around that we simply could not catch. It was so frustrating and annoying. It was the first victim of this device. And there was an enormous crack! As it was toasted. The chard remains of these bags fall primarily down into the removable tray at the bottom of this device. However, the very very tiny mosquito hatchlings sometimes are flying out and if you are landing on the table that the device is sitting on. No worries! They recently mopped up with a damp paper towel – lol. I wish I’d had this thing 50 years ago! this is ideal for anyone either living on a ranch, or next to someone who has livestock, or next to a dog park, or next to a neighbor, who refuses to pick up his own dogs, poop… You get the idea. Bugs are truly and genuinely attracted to this thing and once they fly into it, there’s a zap, and they are gone forever. And all you have to do is keep it plugged in and turned on. It even comes with two extra bulbs! (Note: the device uses two bulbs at a time.) I thought it was worth the price to give it a try and it certainly doesn’t take up much room, which is nice. I wanted something small and unobtrusive. Every few minutes, I hear another sap, because another bug has flown in and gotten toasted. And I didn’t have to lift a finger! When might wonder with all the bad weather we’ve had across the nation recently why in the world mosquitoes are hatching out. That’s because we had about a week of good weather in between the rain storms. That’s all it took! And in late spring through fall, and even into early winter this year, the flies will be everywhere. my husband, persists and leaving doors open, so the flies come in and massive quantities. I foresee cleaning out the tray at the bottom of this thing often once summer arrives! But for once, I don’t think they’ll be a fly in the air for very long. This would also work wonderfully around a barn. You do want to keep Dustin excessive dirt, and hate off of it, of course. It is exponentially worth the money!

The bug Zapper worked fine. The overall unit is well built. There is discrepancies with the description on Amazon site and the Instruction Manual that came with the Zapper. I ordered this to use outside, like most bug zappers, the manual states, this product is only suitable for inside use. This was not in the Amazon description and should have been. Also in the description under worry free after sales Service it states that this is unit is a hairdryer. In the manual it shows removing screws to remove the protective net to change the light bulbs, this is not required there is no screws that have to be removed, the protective net snaps in.

This is a nice, inexpensive bug zapper that works well. But... While reading the instructions it states that this is for indoor use only! When I went back to the Amazon page to research, there is nothing stated that this should only be used indoors. It did however refer to it as a hair drier. This company needs to get its facts in line, and possibly put a warning on the product if it truly shouldn't be used outdoors. But, really, who doesn't love the smell of electrocuted bugs in their living room? Hmmm....
