Cool little hammer, comfortable grip, good quality and neat size. Literally great bang-for-bucks!

I used to have a full tool box, but a certain species of the human race thought I didn't need them ( you know, being female and all). Anyway, this mini hammer is amazing! I bought it to make my knitting looms sturdier. I have realised that no self respecting DIY-er will take this from me. How embarrassing would it be for them??The weight is enough for normal household chores (getting those tent pegs in, opening a bottle or two without a corkscrew/bottle opener). I have a few of these mini hammers and they are useful to have in the toolbox. This one was purchased for use on camping trips to drive in and remove stubborn tent pegs. Works well for that purpose as its light and compact so easy to store.

Der kleine Stubby sieht mit seinen 16cm Länge schon ein bisschen wie ein Kinderspielzeug aus. Wenn man ihn in die Hand nimmt verfliegt der Eindruck aber sofort. Die 250g sind dermaßen gut austariert, dass man sofort ein gutes Gefühl hat, dass der Hammer seinen großen Brüdern und Schwestern in nichts nachsteht.Der Stiel ist gummiert und so ergonimisch geformt, dass der Hammer beim schwingen nicht aus der Hand rutscht. Am Stielende befindet sich eine Öse, an der eine Schlaufe befestigt werden kann. Diese ist nicht im Lieferumfang.Der Hammerkopf ist wie gesagt sehr gewichtig, aber wunderbar austariert. Die Verarbeitung sieht nicht so sauber aus (viel gefeilt, wie schon lange benutzt), aber ich habe mit dem Finger keine Grate finden können und die Funktion wird sowieso nicht durch das Aussehen nicht beeinträchtigt.Wir verwenden den Hammer im Wohnwagen für die Erdnägel des Vorzelts. Diese lassen sich wunderbar einschlagen (vor allem wenn jetzt in der Kälte die Erde so fest ist) und beim Abbau hilft der "Kuhfuß" beim Herausziehen. Dafür nehme ich auch die Handschlaufe, um mehr Kraft zu übertragen. Durch die geringe Größe und das relativ geringe Gewicht ist der Hammer ideal für das Camping. Eine kleine Schutztasche hätte ich mir da zwar gewünscht, aber man kann halt nicht alles haben.Trotz des "used look" des Hammers ist er ein gutes Werkzeug und daher auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, wenn man einen Hammer in der Größe benötigt.
