Better than competing similar items. Lasted 2 years and 3 months.
I’ve been wearing compression socks since Dec.,2017 and bought my first Vive Sock Aid ithen. It has lasted till now - Mar. 2020. I have severe arthritis and needed help to get the compression socks on. It worked like a charm and has been very helpful to me, especially since my wife still works and I am home alone With no help to put on my compression socks till I bought the Vive. About a year later, I wanted to have one on each floor of our two story home. I noticed Amazon was offering the RMS Deluxe Sock Aid for a cheaper price. The two items looked the same in the photos, so why not save a few bucks and buy the RMS brand? Big mistake! Upon receipt of the RMS model I immediately noticed a significant difference that I had it noticed online - the "slip resistant foam pad" was much smaller and a different shape than its counterpart on the Vive device. This slip resistant foam pad is what holds your sock (compression or regular) on the outside of the very smooth hard plastic channel as you slip your foot in and pull the sock down over your heel, then your ankle and up your calf till the pressure Is enough to cause the sock to slip off the hard plastic channel. Tip: If you wear knee high socks with a strong compression factor (20-30 mmHg), it does require some hand strength to pull it onto the plastic channel. The Vive has a longer, broader foam patch that holds the sock longer than the RMS and other brands. Thus it pulls it easily over the heel and sometimes even most of the way up your leg. Other brands often let the sock slip off before clearing the heel, with a max hold somewhere around the ankle - which means you have to grip the sock with your fingers and pull it up. Not easy. Buy the Buve brand.

Awesome product.
Fabulous product! Very easy to use. If you have a large sock size it works with compress docks. If you have a small foit or sock size, you'd benefit from a smaller thing.

Excellent product
These work superbly. I bought another one so I could do both socks for my husband in the am, to be ready when he is. Very sturdy.

Not perfect, but pretty pretty good...
I have chronic lower back pain. Leaning too far forward, or raising a leg and leaning forward, can trigger painful spasms. Pulling on socks is a challenge sometimes. This device does the job pretty well. I have wide feet, so a wider channel (or a slightly adjustable one) would be better. Tight socks will not stretch easily over the "mouth" of this, but in my case I need relatively loose socks, so they work fine. Line up your heel carefully. I recommend pulling the sock as far back as possible and squeezing your foot as far forward as possible. When you pull it on, the rubber patch keeps it from sliding off the ("half-pipe") channel. You may have to adjust or pull up the sock a little, but the all-important part -- pulling it onto the front of the foot -- is easily accomplished with some practice. I would like to see a "L" option for the wider foot, or perhaps making it a two-piece with sliding ruts to adjust it somewhat. Otherwise, it works pretty well and will save your back. A life-saver! -W.D. Gagliani, author of THE JUDAS HIT

Don’t waste your money!
I broke my leg in three places recently, and am in a boot for 8 weeks, non weight bearing. Putting on socks became a challenge, ie. someone else had to do it for me. On the advice of my OT, and in a desperate search for independence, I bought this device. Here is my verdict: 1) Threading the sock onto the device is easy enough. 2) Sliding your foot into the sock is also easy. 3) Trying to remove the device from the sock once it is on your foot is problematic. The slip resistant cuff is exactly that - I had to tug really forcefully to try to remove it, and that caused a lot of additional pain in my leg. The sock stuck to the device as if it had been glued on. 4) The plastic shell is very uncomfortable when it rests on my surgery incisions. I have already ordered and road tested a different sock donner, which has a fabric lining and no slip resistant cuff. It works perfectly, slides comfortably, and was a lot cheaper into the bargain. If you’re interested, it’s the CAidRE Sock Aid, priced at $9.99. And it is covered by the Free Returns policy if you’re not happy with it. I tried to do a return on this item, only to find that it is non-returnable, for health and safety reasons. I fail to see why the manufacturer would not accept returns on an item designed for people recovering from surgery, when the device itself actually causes more discomfort than the bending and stretching required to put your socks on without such a device. I’m very disappointed, and will not be buying anything else from this manufacturer.

short life for the sock grip
I used this for a couple of years until the slip resistant cuff started to crumble and fall apart. I also needed it to be a little wider so my little toes wouldn't get caught.

L'ho acquistato perchè mia madre aveva difficoltà a vestire i collant. Consigliatissimo.
