Works well for what it is
The media could not be loaded. Edit June 20, 2024:After having the vacuum for about 3 months it broke. The main brush kept getting stuck even though there was nothing in it. It's possible that one of my children dropped something that ended up breaking the brush, but i have no idea. I tried to message support in the app and got nowhere so I went to the web page and found US support. It took a little bit of back and forth to convince support that the vacuum was actually broken and not just in need of a good clean, but once they were convinced I was able to send back the old vacuum and they sent me a new one which I received today. I will update this review if the replacement also breaks. Other than the issue with needing to get a replacement I still stand by everything that I said in my original review. I did notice while I was waiting on my replacement vacuum that I really missed having the robot vacuum. The dog hair on my house was definitely more noticeable despite me vacuuming the floors ever 2-3 days with a normal vacuum (although I did enjoy making jokes about being forced to vacuum "like a peasant" since my robot vacuum was out of service). I am very glad to have the replacement today.I'd also like to add that my toddler has made friends with the robot vacuum and often cheers for it and tells it that it's doing a great job.Original review:I don't think this vacuum is meant to completely replace a regular vacuum and mop but it helps to cut down on the frequency a lot.I ran the robot vacuum over a dirty floor and then ran my regular vacuum. My regular vacuum still picked up pet hair and dirt but not nearly as much as it usually does. I have also run the robot vacuum after my regular vacuum and still gotten dirt and pet hair as well so that doesn't say much.I think this vacuum works best by using it every day to stay on top of accumulating dirt and hair, but I wouldn't use it to clean a really dirty floor.A few things that are important to note...1. It uses a lot of its battery power to map a new floor, but once the map is created it can do 3 rooms and a hallway without needing a charge. Don't judge this devices battery life until after a map has been made.2. If you want it to mop well, you have to go into the settings and change it to the Y shaped cleaning mode. See pictures. It does not mop well at all in regular mode.3. If the dust bin is full it will return to the base and charge before heading out to clean again. It doesn't tell you the dust bin is full so you may think that it needs to charge and have a negative opinion of its battery life. It'd be nice if it'd tell you that the dust bin is full. Sometimes I manually empty the dust bin before it's done so it doesn't go back to the base.4. Once a map is created you need to go into the settings and manually save the map before creating a new map or the first map just disappears. If you switch floors often you have to go into the room management settings and tell it what floor it's on or it will create a new map.5. If there's pets or people who get long hair on the floor, the hair will wrap around the brush but it's easy to get the brush out and clean it. I do this once every couple of days.6. The charging station is very loud when it's emptying the dust bin. I would not set the vacuum to run at night.7. The dust collector/charging station has a bag. You can manually empty the bag and use it again, but if you have a pet hair issue you will have to pull it out with your fingers and it's kind of gross.8. My toddler is terrified of the robot vacuum and runs away crying whenever it comes on. It is currently impossible to convince him that the vacuum isn't after him. My dog and cat are cool with it though. All in all, I'm happy with this little robot. I have it set to run all by itself at a certain time and I love coming home to a clean floor. I mostly use it for vacuuming and I only use it to mop about once a week. I also run my regular vacuum and mop once a week.My carpets always had pet fur on them, but now that I'm running this thing every day it's sooooo much better.

Love this vacuum
This guy is awesome!First off it is much cheaper than the bigger names but it has a lot of features they have as well. Ilife make pretty solid products they may not be as shiny with bells and whistles but if you are looking for performance they do well.I love the blue look, different than typical black and white so plus for me. Secondly this thing has real suction power but you can lower the suction via the app and make it room specific. The moping feature is the best I have seen yet in Ilife. Yes, it's simply a microfiber rag that drags on the backside of the vacuum, but the fact it can mop and vacuum at the same time is a win! The self emptying bin works well for me and the dist and minimal debris gets sucked out as advertised. I have not had it clog yet. The collection bag in the base is large and will hold a lot so you really aren't changing it all that often. The Lidar does map the floorplan well and in the app you can change rooms, name rooms, tell it how many times you want it to vacuum a space (on my hardwoods I do once and carpet twice) and if you ask it to vacuum twice it goes in both directions (vertice and horizontal) to help improve pickup. You can also select specific rooms you want it to vacuum/mop.Cons for me.... Simply the App. Ilife doesn't use "their" brand all for this robot but a third party. However it works seamlessly with the robot. It's not as polished of an app as say Roborock but it does the job and has all the features you could want, especially for $400 (there is often a coupon or discount of some sort.)This guy's does a solid job and looks good doing it. I use this mainly for vacuuming as I have a Shinebot I use for floors running and mopping, but the mopping feature DOES work. It is simply a microfiber pad that drags opposed to the bigger brands having spinning pads or vibrating pads that do a "scrubbing" action.I do suggest if you mop to use distilled water and their brand concentrate cleaner. I don't have any streaks and the floor dries very quickly.I really am happy with "my boy blue." Hope you like yours too!
