Twice shipped wrong side seal
Seemed like a quality product, but it's not the driver side seal as advertised, it's came the passenger side. Go to Rock Auto pay less and get it right the first time. Sometimes you need to do something a couple times to remember why you don't buy auto parts from Amazon.

Can work without drilling holes
This fit my half door jeep just fine, but I didn't drill extra holes. It is completely different from stock in how it mounts with extra plastic expansion pins about every 4 or 5 inches and no hard plastic track. Not wanting to drill a bunch of new holes, I tried something different. I removed the stock weatherstrip completely and cleaned all of the residue off the paint. I pulled the green plastic pins out of the new weatherstrip and tested the fit. I layed down a 1/4 inch strip of 3M double sided trim tape along the door and then overlayed another strip of 1/2 inch 3M double sided trim tape. This gives a slightly convex shape needed to get a solid grip on the weather strip. I then slowly applied the weather strip a took time to press it in tightly. So far, it's solid, no issues from the Florida heat or humidity.

Almost perfect fit
Perfect fit and function except the seals had 3x more pins than my TJ half door had holes. Had to drill holes in the door to make this fit. However is stays on the door WAY better than the original seals.

I just got this door seal. I did need ...
I just got this door seal. I did need to drill a few holes, but that wasn't a big deal. It seems that some people have to do this and others don't. My guess is that if you're replacing your own door seal then you're handy with a drill. The only thing I would say is that you may also want to get some 2 sided tape, but it's not necessary.

Excellent product, wish I'd know about it years ago
Old door gaskets, on my '98 TJ, were shot but they were the type that attaches to a plastic track. Removed the gasket, plastic track and some glue residue then drilled a few additional holes to attached this and was done. Some of the original holes from the plastic track lined up perfectly. Excellent product, wish I'd know about it years ago.

So easy even a caveman could do it...
It took longer to remove the old one than it did to install the new one. There were more plastic retainers than I needed so I had to remove a few before installing. All in all it was easy to install and it keeps the drafts out.

Extra holes needed on older models
Installed on a 1998 TJ. Had to drill extra holes but I knew that when I ordered it. Installed easily and looks great. A big improvement over the original seal.
