We use our kettle ALOT and therefore tend to have a limescale build-up every 3 weeks or so. I was looking for a budget alternative limescale remover and I came across pro-kleen. This has been amazing, it works just as well as the leading brand but costs a fraction of the price! I love the 5L container, I've had this for 7 months now and I don't think I am even half-way though it yet! It does have a pungent smell when it is dissolving the limescale but that doesn't bother me as I tend to leave it to do its thing and come back when it's ready to be rinsed. It's fast acting, it takes me under 10 mins from applying the solution to having a limescale free kettle ready for my next cuppa. As well as kettles, you can also use it on coffee machines, irons, shower heads - I personally havent done so therefore I can't comment how effective it is on those things. There are clear instructions on the back on how much solution to use based on what you are applying it to as well as how long to leave the solution to dissolve for which is of course very helpful. Overall, a very, very good product!

The descaler as such is top notch, and gets rid of the most persistent of limescale in due course. We have horrendously hard water in London, so this is a real find. The only reason why I have awareded 4 rather than 5 stars is that it is impossible to pour out of the top, particularly when the container is still full. I would advise that you put whatever you want to pour into in your sink, as otherwise you risk getting the stuff everywhere.

Was not expecting that this product will clean up the kettle so well. Literally followed the instructions, boiled it, walked away for 15 min to soak, came back - mint! The smell is not great. Definitely avoid inhaling when boiled. We drink a lot of tea, ao cleaning scale is a routine. This prodict makes it easy. Just make sure not to leave the kettle boiling on it own!!! IT WILL BE FIZZING OUT, AND YOU WILL END UP WITH A MINI FLOOD... Don't ask how we know.

FANTASTIC it did an amazing job on my tefal kettle which I followed the instructions on the container,,and also my Brita water filter jug that was white from all the limescale in the hard water area in which I live, I half filled a washing up bowl with water poured some of the product in(about the same as needed for the kettle) and laid the water filter jug and all parts in the water and left for a while came back turned them over to do the other side and came back later and rinsed everything thoroughly(including the kettle) and now looks like new again, as does the kettle amazing product and I used very little from the container it will last for a long time so very worth the money as it works and also it will last couldn't ask for more.

Extremely effective descaler. Was a bit sceptical about how much better it was compared to the types available in the supermarket but I needn't have been. It is industrial strength and very quick at descaling anything, ( it emits very strong fumes so be sure you have adequate ventilation, or a gas mask if you have one lying around in the old bomb shelter at the bottom of the garden ! ) I used it to clear the limescale from my one cup kettle, my steam iron, the shower head, basin, bath and kitchen taps as well as the toilet bowls. This only used about 150ml. Cannot recommend it highly enough along with the seller who despatched it immediately in a well packaged box.

I am really pleased with this product! I moved into a new home and the water is very hard, the toilets and washbasins were quite thick with lime scale, nothing would move it, until I bought this product! It worked really really well, just over night the lime scale had gone! It is really strong, you need to put something around your face, because of the fumes I put it in a plastic jug and poured it into a spray bottle and sprayed it on neat in the toilets, then left over night! I was amazed next morning, I brushed the toilet and flushed, the lime scale had gone completely! I did my kettle also, but diluted with water! I can highly recommend this product, a special if you live in hard water area! The size of the container will last you a very long time! I would defiantly buy again! x

I don't normally write reviews but this stuff is amazing! The fumes are evil even using outside but still this is the best limescale remover EVER! I was a big fan of viakal as our water is terrible for limescale but as I was almost at the end of my bottle I though (from reading the reviews) and there was so much more of it for the money so excellent value that I would give this a go. So glad I did it honestly works like magic, my kettle, steam generator iron (which your not supposed to descale but was so bad it was about to be binned) toilet, taps are all shiny and look brand new. Use a mask and gloves when using as this is super strong
