Out of the box, the battery is much better than the original that came with our leaf blower. The power seems a little better, and the battery lasts much longer than the original. With any battery operated tool, battery life can diminish over time. At this point, it's too early to comment on the battery life. But very pleased with this purchase so far.

In my opinion, this battery seems to keep its charge longer than the one that came with my weeder. And it doesn't seem to get as hot as the previous batteries used. Furthermore, the price was very reasonable. I would suggest buying a few of these for large jobs

As a result of the review I left below and my 2 star rating, the company reached out to me and replaced the battery. I've used the replacement 4 or 5 times, it is an amazing battery; lasts for a long time, I can weed my yard and the neighbors in one charge with time left. The reason for the 4 stars and not five, it doesn't fit my B&D weed eater smoothly, it's very difficult to remove and I worry about damaging either the weed eater or the battery. Also, it's a sensitive battery, you can not leave it in the charger, the weed eater, or place it on metal (among many other things that will kill it). I am very impressed and thankful with the customer service I've received. I thought this was the end all to all battery issues. The battery lasted forever! I would look for things to zap until the battery ran out...my yard looked great! I also read the reviews, don't leave in the charger, don't leave in the weed eater...it kills the battery. I did neither and after about 5 uses, it stopped working, will not charge. I should be able to return this item, but I'm guessing this happens often with this product. For $45 it's not worth the amount of uses you get.

Great Battery replacement .40v but w3.5ah instead of original 40v 2.0ah

Like others, I purchased this as a spare battery and trusted Amazon's rating as "Amazon's Choice" because it was cheaper than the Black and Decker equivalent battery and supposedly equivalent in performance. I had minimal problems with the battery performance other than sometimes finding it difficult to get the green flashing light indicating that it was charging. I probably only used this battery 10 times and I noticed the cover coming off. None of the screws would tighten so I removed the cover to see what the problem was. As you can see in the photos the threaded hole has cracked and broken in all 4 positions. This battery is not repairable. This problem is not caused by a defect but a poor design. The screw only protrudes slightly more than 1/4 inch into the threaded hole. It could have been prevented by using a half inch longer screw. In my opinion, the problem I had will happen on other batteries. I'll spend the extra money and buy the Black and Decker battery as my backup. Sept 5 - I previously stated that the battery was not repairable after the cover came loose due to the threaded holes cracking. I didn't want to throw the battery away so discovered that if you remove the existing screws and replace them with a longer #4 X 1 inch Pan Head screw, the cover can be tightened.

Work well and recharges quickly.
