It has the right dimensions but is not strong enough to hold the plate we had in mind. Perhaps an indication of its weight carrying capacity would help

I wanted this plate hanger for a platter which met the diameter and weight range advertised. It did stretch over the rim but the 2 arms at the top and 2 at the bottom stay close together and the plate pops out the side. Glad I tried it over the bed so it had a soft landing. I will try shelf to mount it in the wall instead.
