Q: Also, why does it say 1000mg on the front but the back says 2 capsule = 600mg?

Because it is 1000 mg of salmon oil which contain 300 mg of total omega 3 fatty acids per capsule. A serving is 2 capsules which contain 2000 mg of salmon oil with 600 mg of total omega 3 fatty acids.

Q: Why is your bottle a clear plastic and not dark to protect the incredibly light sensitive Omega 3 oils? Research shows light exposure breaks down Omega 3 immediately, sunlight is the worst.

Unless you keep the bottle in strong, long-term direct sunlight or strong, long-term artificial light, there's little chance of significant degradation of the Omega 3 Oils. Keep it stored in a cool and dark place, a cupboard, or box, and use it before the expire date, and the product will be fine.

Q: How about expiration date of this?

The expiration date is stamped on the bottom of the bottle. I purchased mine March of 2015 and the expiration date is October of 2016. With 180 capsules they will be gone well before then.
