My Orchid Loves This Moss!
I received an orchid as a gift and it was terribly root-bound so I repotted it in this moss in a larger container, and it has grown two new leaves and LOTS of new, healthy roots. It holds moisture so its is just right for the orchid; never soggy or totally dry, so my plant is thriving, obviously I will use it for othe plants, particularly some newly propagated ones to see how well they do in this medium, and I intend to get some more orchids because this is so easy to use!

Great moss for cages
We are using this sphagnum moss in reptile cages and I like it enough that I have bought it times. It arrives compacted but is easily refluffed with water. I actually like the fact that it comes in several smaller, thinner, individually wrapped pieces more than I expected to. This makes less of a mess than a larger cube if you don't use it all at once. There are very few if any harder pieces of bark or sticks to pull out compared to other moss brands. It is super absorbant and I have not had any mold or growths when using this. I feel it is a great value for it's price.

Lots for your money, but foreign matter in bricks
The plus side is that you get A LOT for your money. (If you've ever rehydrate sphagnum then you know what I'm talking about.) The downside is that there was a lot of foreign material similar to grass or straw that I had to groom out of it before use. I'd also say the quality of this moss is not as great as other brands I've bought in the past as I've definitely used moss with longer, fluffier, more intact (and nicely reddish) strands. Still, I built several terrariums with this brand and they are doing great a month out. 4 stars due to value and performance being okay.

Looks are deceiving
When it came in this small package, I was initially disappointed. However, once I opened it up and soaked the moss as per the directions I was pleasantly surprised as to how much there was and how easy it was to use and is doing the job of keeping my plants moist..

Good stuff
I am using for moss poles. I like that it comes in separate "bricks". No weird smell. I would purchase again.

Nice moss
This is great for the price. Comes in 3 individually sealed packs. One pack filled a 9.5q container perfectly. I plan on using this for moss poles for my pothos and philodendrons.

really dirty
I tried to save some money by purchasing this instead of the more expensive New Zealand moss. This moss is really dirty, with a lot of dirt and debris included. I tried to rinse it out several times before using, but compared to the color of the moss from NZ I already was using, the color of this moss was still so dark because of all the dirt still remaining. I ended up having to return and purchased the mosses from New Zealand for like 5x the price of this one so I guess you really do get what you pay for.
