BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer Insecticide

We were sick of our garden plants dying for no reason and they appeared as if they had been weedkillered. New expensive plants did not thrive for long and we having paid out huge sums for quality plants were really not happy with the state of them. We decided that it could be Vine Weelvils but we did not know and first considered nemotides as a solution but nemotodes seemed to be expensive option so we tried this. Bugclear seems to work well and the price is reasonable. I am a little concerned that other garden bugs as well as Vine Weevils could be affected but the nemotode option seemed to be riddiculously expensive, (on an ongoing basis), and to me it was a case of my putting up with dead/moribund/plants on life support and/or using this so now most of my plants have recovered and are very healthy. I will buy again.

Arrived super fast time. I used this when I brought my plants in from the garden last autumn and it's worked! In previous years, grubs had eaten through roots causing plants to collapse, then as the weather warmed, they emerged as Weevils who then ate through the leaves of remaining plants leaving droppings everywhere. I was picking approx 10 Weevils every evening and dispatching them. This year... I have lovely healthy plants and only one or two leaves have been munched. I will find the little escapees eventually, but there must only be one or two hiding compared to the hundreds I'd found before using this treatment.

killed off the aphids on my indoor plants with two doses, much easier than a spray. but its toxic to us and insects so careful and try not to use outside unless necessary.

Great product, slow delivery.

I'm confident that all grubs laid by vine weevils are eradicated with this product not to treat plants that have been infested results in dead plants .

I resorted to using this after my use of nematodes failed miserably for whatever reason. In total we have lost 20 expensive plants in really tall pots and it has taken an age to remove the soil treated by nematodes, but guess what, the soil was still full of vine weevil grubs so I am glad that we decided to do a belt and braces job here. The plants which were seemingly unaffected had a good dose of this product, and six months later are all still holding firm, so in a couple of months time I will be using this again on the plants that we have left and hoping for the best. All our old empty pots have been jet washed waiting for new compost to be inserted. Going forward I will treat all of our pots with this product every year just to be on the safe side. Apart from the expense of replacing dead plants, some were of sentimental value too.

Ok not sure it did anything

I think that this product is expensive for the number of pots you can treat. It says 20 pots x 8". My pots are a lot bigger than 8", most are. One bottle isn't enough to treat all my pots. Whilst I don't think it's great value for money, it does what it says on the tin so to speak. I bought it to treat & prevent vine weevil.
