It is rare to find a toy, or any product for that matter these days, with such quality in details and materials as this Schleich Animal Rescue Truck. I am not sure what role my son will choose to give his new truck - a wild animal hospital or safari expedition supply vehicle - but one thing I am sure of, this well-made and high quality toy will survive many years of play for even my energetic little son. I still have my Tonka truck from the 1950's, so I was hoping to find a truck for my little boy that he will cherish and enjoy as much as I did mine. I love Schlesinger so this is a tough review to write. I’ve purchased a different advent calendar for my grandson for 3 years now. He is only 3.5 years old and he has many scheming animals that he loves. So this year I bought him the schleich advent calendar and he loves it most day. It was priced right and is my grandsons most favorite things- toy animal figures. Unfortunately there is not an animal or toy prize behind every door. He got jipped 2 days in a row, that was disappointing. However he was surprised a couple times finding 2 toys in a couple doors. But that is not how it should work… there should be 1 surprise behind every door. He is a bit too young and impatient to understand this process and the mistake. Do better, Schleich. You make great toys. Don’t let our babies down during the most amazing and magical time of year.

Very well built. Enough going on with the toy- truck has lotso compartments, the cage, the animals, the concept of a mobile vet clinic. My grandson's imagination takes off with this toy- he really enjoys it. Takes a minute to piece it all together. It is one of his go to toys for Christmas- always drawn to it. Good purchase.

Easy to assemble but be prepared to put the entire thing together, including stickers and tying knots etc. great set.

I just put this together last night since I'll be gifting it tomorrow. The animals are always great from this company, but this truck is garbage. Assembly was insane, they send it with nothing done. The doors/hatches/compartments are 100% going to be difficult for a child to open or close!!! MY RECOMMENDATION.... STAY AWAY!!Only gave it one star because I had to.
