03-10-2020These are easy to remove and attach with basic tools.(wrenches\sockets\screw driver)Don’t know where to start?- you-tube will fix that.My vehicle had the round stud at the bottom.In case you have one strut that is not broke, (like I did) you want to removebottom mount from stud first, to relieve any tension.A Strong temporary support for the hatch is a must, (a second person, even better)while actually doing the repair.These are a nice strong strut, They do just what they are suppose to do.Now My hatch opens like when it was brand new.All you have to do is pull up about 4-6” and step back & it opens up the rest.Some folks are saying it opens too fast?It’s doesn’t open too fast either, it opens the exactly the same way as NEW.And then when you close it you only need to pull it down ¾ the way and it closes the rest nicely without slamming. It’s easy.Again,.. Exactly like when it was new. Same speed, same strength.Decent price: $34.80 w/sh.Speaking of new. Nissan wants $50 a pop + s\h. !!Now why would anybody want to waste\spend $100 & some dollars on some struts for a 19 year old vehicle. You’re just not going to get you money out of them.

Perfect fit lift supports that were badly needed. My 2004 Pathfinder now has new back window and rear door lifts. Easy to attach, but make sure your propping -up methods are secure. Delivery was excellent.

Door struts, not window struts. Would work great if you never want to close whatever your opening. The struts are seized. Cannot collapse one of them on the ground with all my weight on it.

Installation wasn't too bad. The collar spring lock is a bit hard to slide down. But must be careful not to pull it all the way off. As I did it was a bit hard to put it back on. Once install its great. Now we have to see the longevity of its strengths.
