Just a bit large. Very good hat when out in the sun.

Normally Henschel has good quality products at reasonable price, and I've several of their hats. This one is an exception and the "made in USA" quality is very poor in comparison to a $10 (top-notch quality) hat from China that I bought in LA fashion district. The brim is thin and extremely wrinkled, and the top of the crown is too small to fit properly. Not sure how to get the wrinkles out of the brim so it wouldn't look like a hobo's hat.

I wear a lot of hats - literally. For decades, I've been buying a couple of straw hats each summer but they never last long, especially if I get caught in the rain or they happen to fall into the creek while I'm fishing. With this hat, the problem is solved. It truly is crushable with excellent shape retention. Since it isn't made of cheap material, it should last for many summers too come. The color is just a slight shade lighter than how it looks on my screen, but I like that even better! It is a cool, comfortable wearing hat. The large did run a touch larger than I'd expected, but nothing that some simple foam, newspaper, or sizing in the back of the headband won't fix. The medium definately would have been too small. I normally wear a 7 1/4 to 7 3/8.

My husband loves Henschel hats and this one is no exception. However, we did have to send it back because it was too big. He always wears a "large" in hats and he owns three other Henschel hats and they're all larges. But this particular hat was way too big and we had to return it. But he's still a fan of Henschel hats and will reorder soon.

I read reviews on this hat before I ordered it. Nearly everyone said the hat ran slightly big. I have a different Henschel hat and it fits perfectly, but it has a normal crown. The low crown on this Henschel Hiker hat might prevent it from sliding down far enough to get that snug fit. Since these hat are sold in sizes S, M, L, XL instead of fitted sizes, I expected variances between hats so I planned on putting a 1/8 inch thick by 1/2 inch wide strip of self-adhesive foam from a crafts store on the inside between the crown and the sweatband if it ran slightly large. When I received it, it was very slighlty large as reviewers said so I installed the foam and it fits pefectly. Plus the foam strip is hidden. The great construction quality, looks and price of this Henschel hat is worth the small effort I spent makiing a slight adjustmemt to make it fit like a fitted hat. I truly like this hat and it's made in the USA. Buy it!

I ordered a large, like the one I have, but this one was WAY too large

This hat fit perfectly and is very comfortable in the heat and sun. You almost forget you are wearing a hat, until you realize how well it shades and protects your head from the sun.This is also a sharp looking hat.Protection and good looks. A hard combination to beat.Steve Mitchell

Nice but smaller than it should be

What the heck. Ordered this in xlg. Too big. Reordered in L. Size good but you flattened it before shipping and creases will not come out. I need to reorder another large and have it shipped in a box not a bag
