We use this for streaming our church service. Easy, firm connection to the SDI port from the coax from camera, then plugs right into the USB port on a laptop. Windows found it immediately. It just works! I love that the connections are firm and tight.

Hands down, best plug and play tool for getting a video signal in/out of my Macbook Air M2 and audio. Easy plug and play.

It was good till I updated the firmware, and it turned into a brick. Followed all the prompts, not user error as far as I can tell. I'm going to switch to using a 12G converter to HDMI, then use an Elgato 4k x to do 4k (instead of HD with this thing), and it will have less latency (which with this, the audio going into my computer is off by six frames). I will have a latency of about 30ms with my new setup vs the 100-150 I get with the Magewell. Somewhat glad it exploded, but not happy that it cost so much money to be mediocre and then turn into a paperweight. Usually, I have had a great experience with many Magewell products I've owned over the years.

Magewell always works...Runs a bit hot though, but it works. Oh and the price is not fun...just saying.
