Does the thing! Lets me plug my phone into my car audio jack and I can play podcasts, YouTube, or my own iTunes playlists. Cuz I’m old, and I still make iTunes playlists. I like having a spare in case anything happens to the one. Interestingly, I can control volume from my car controls but not change/skip tracks when using my phone. The former is probably more important though.

Good product I do recommend
Delivered in less than 24 hours from placing the order. The product works to play music in my 2011 Honda Fit using Spotify. Spotify won’t play off of the USB cable that comes out of the glove box. So this 3.5mm jack to lightning bypasses the USB cable from the glove box. Apple Music plays off the USB cable from the glove box but I don’t have Apple Music anymore. Best deal on Amazon cause you get two cables for the price of one.

Using these for my Chevy traverse they work very well I love it because my Chevy didn’t have the Bluetooth so these were a good buy

Awesome cord
Excellent. No more crackle when I'm listening to my music. It seems to be sturdy. It's more than long enough. I don't know if it's my imagination, but the music sounds so much better.

Not good quality
They haven’t stopped working completely, but since the second day that I started using them, they regularly cut out. They’re not durable or built well. The sound quality is good when the court is working. During a 30 minute commute it usually cuts out at least three times.
