Fabulous start to a new series.
4.5This is the first book in this new series and it was absolutely fantastic. Corrupted Royals is book 1 in this mafia romance book that has touch her and die vibes and protection/ possessive vibes that I loved. After Aurora and Misha. First meet at a night club everything happens with a bang and Aurora can't stop thinking about the dark angel that came back and saved her life. Aurora is a mafia princess that all her life has been very sheltered. Misha. Is a bratva enforcer and she is the enemy. After time has passed they were both not expecting to see each other at the academy.I loved reading about these characters and I loved how much chemistry they had. Michelle has written these characters so great and the connection between them both is sizzling hot. These two are not meant to be together as they are both from rival enemies but they are drawn to one another and they are willing to do whatever it takes. I loved this story line and I was gripped reading this book until the very end. I loved the side characters and I hope Abbie has her own book too. I really connected with the way this author has written these characters and I couldn't get enough of the way they were. This story flows throughout perfectly. This is an enemies to lovers, forbidden romance read that I highly recommend reading and I can't wait to read book 2 in this series.

A great start for the Corrupted Royals series
The first book in Michelle Heard’s Corrupted Royals series and Destroy Me opens with a bang when an explosion rocks a Geneva nightclub leaving Misha and Aurora trapped together in the rubble. One look across a crowded dance floor was all it had taken, the attraction was instant and mutual but upon rescue, Aurora’s identity is revealed to Misha, he knows nothing can come of it as Bratva enforcer Misha’s boss has a hit out on mafia princess Aurora’s family.I loved this modern day telling of Romeo and Juliet with Misha and Aurora in the roles of the star crossed lovers, although if I’m being honest I haven’t read a book from Michelle Heard that I haven’t loved. They meet up again two years on from the explosion at St Monarch’s, a school for elite criminals and it is more than obvious to Aurora that Misha, the man she has been dreaming about since the explosion hates her despite the more than apparent attraction he still feels for her. Misha is definitely an alpha male and when it comes down to it he can’t bring himself to physically Aurora, well unless you count their hard sexual encounters but she is a more than willing participant. The one thing I would say about Destroy Me would be that I felt that the conclusion to the story was a bit rushed and abrupt for my liking. I did love the secondary characters of Misha’s two friends and fellow students Alek and Armani and Aurora’s friend Abbie was a particular favourite with her constant verbal innuendoes and non stop flirting especially with Nikolai. I cant wait for their story.
