Exactly what I needed good quality and honest description
Edit - Reduced to 4 stars. This is still a good product and I stand by what I said originally below, however if you are using 2 different makes of TV at 4k/50/60hz, in order to get output 2 on screen when output 1 has been turned off, you have to physically and manually switch off the splitter using the rocker on/off switch, wait for a second then switch it back on again.I believe this is down to the hardware of the splitter and not my equipment because all HDMI cables are hdcp 2.2 high speed compliant. Output 1 to a Samsung 4k tv comes up without any manual override, however my slightly cheaper 4k seiki t.v. in my bedroom does not display the picture until you manually override the switch by turning it off and on again.It comes on fine if output 1 is already on, but if you switch output 1 off then try to switch on output 2, the screen just blinks until the switch is off the back on. I have emailed portta but it went ignored and didn't get a response from them...The Manaul override is very simple and only takes a few seconds but this is becoming a bit of an annoyance when I want to watch output 2 having to switch it off and back on literally every single time I want to watch in output 2 only.If anyone knows a work around for this please let me know!Original Review:Really pleased with this item. When it comes to 4K you need to do your research first to identify exactly what you need for your setup and requirements. If you go and buy a cheap 4kx2k splitter IT WILL NOT WORK with Sky Q or HDR.This item however works exactly as I needed. It supports full HDR 10 bit resolution as well as 8 bit at 50+60hz.The basic function of this is to input from the 4k source (sky q/4k blu ray/Xbox one s/x) then you can run 2 hdmi cables to 2 different 4k supporting tvs.If you run one to a 4k and the other to 1080p the picture will not show unless the input device is set to 1080p opposed to 2160p.Really pleased with this so much so I've purchased another one :)

Fantastic wee HDMI splitter
Fantastic wee HDMI splitter. Allows me to output Blu ray from Xbox One S to TV and projector, taking care of the HDCP 2.2 handshake. I no longer get the error message on the big screen and I'm very happy about it!

Drops outs and hdcp errors
Kept getting hdcp error with brand new high quality hdmi 2.0 leads. Picture would drop out also.Returned

Found out the hard way that this only works with HDMI cables up to 5 Meter long - this is not stated in the product description or in the user manualThe picture on my TV (using a 10 Meter cable) kept alternating between picture/no picture (black screen) every few secondsOther than that, it's a nice solidly-built unitBut it's being returned
