These are good and are interchangeable with the gas lamp they sell so it's convenient to use on portable stoves and that. You get about 3.5 hours of stove time. If you are on a longer trip, there are bigger cylinders but these small ones can fit neatly inside some of the foldable camping pans, saving pack space which the bigger ones cannot.Funny story with one of these as well; I was getting to the end of my cylinder and was having issues boiling water as the pressure was low. Doing tea for a camping trip for me and my nana years back. Managed to get the water to a boil as it ran out of gas 45 minutes later (it usually boils within minutes, but the gas was low). Passed my nana her tea, and the teabag split in mine and I could not make another one!Now I always have multiples of these cylinders including one large. I did not get my brew.Never had one leak or malfunction. Me and a friend have however tested these cylinders to their limits from a safe distance under safe conditions (do not try this at home) and you won't get an explosion unless they spend several minutes on a fire.For cold camping, butane/propane mix of these is essential as butanes boiling point is 0C, you need the oomph of propane. If you are doing really cold weather campaing that I don't do in temperature extremes, id pick a cylinder for this purpose with a higher ratio of propane.

Have a C gas barbecue which takes thes cartridges. Was same price on Amazon as in other local stores. Exactly same item aswell..bought as a spare cartridge so we don't get caught out part way cooking breakfast by running out gas. The Camping Gaz Party Grill 400 BBQ we have is excellent and we use it all the time when we are away in our caravan. We find you get around 6 uses out of the CV 470 plus cannister (using for an hour each time). Downside is the cannisters are expensive for what they are..and you can't use the cheaper screw fit ones which are everywhere you have to buy the branded ones. So come on Camping Gaz you must sell a fair few so bring the price down please otherwise you will put people off buying your excellent product.
