Better quality than expected
This valve was purchased to control the water flow in a garden hosepipe, attached to the valve by 3/4" BSP quick-release brass connectors in the screwed ports. Its operation is entirely satisfactory and although the valve body is stainless steel, I had been led to believe that the operating lever was mild steel, possibly BZP. However, on the valve I received, the lever is non-magnetic, suggesting that it too is made from stainless, which is a bonus at this price.

Doesnt meet bristish standards
Ball failed under water pressure and just rolles about inside the valve, didnt turn off the flow of water.
