I like it, but long term, only suction on window worked.
This functions just as described. The only thing about the product is that I really wish there was a way to tilt down at the base. I drive a 2014 Ford Escape and there isn't much of a choice as to where to put this. It's on the windshield or right in front of the CD player on top of the dash. I will never use the CD player, but if I do, I can detach the arm from the secured disc to put a CD in.As far as I can tell, all Qi chargers cause the phone to feel warm to the touch. If the screen is on and you are using the Qi at the same time, it will get warmer, faster. If driving with the screen off, it doesn't get so warm.I'm using this with a Google Nexus 6 and the fit is perfect. The Qi charges nicely. I play the game Ingress, which means you tend to drive with the screen on, like a navigation app. I've used this during game play and it keeps up with the charge.I specifically got this for my Nexus 6, but before it arrived, I used it with a Motorola Razr HD and it still fit. If I wanted to charge it while it was in the holder, I had to adjust it up from the rim where the phone sets because of where the charge slot is on the side, but the fact that this grips the phone very well without having to add stress to the side grips, it worked perfectly when.It also comes with little tabs to route the cable around. They have a glue backing, and I used mine plus a few that came with my husband's charger. Some of the glue backing did not stick to a particular type of material on one part of my console, so I used craft glue dots to secure without any problems. Those little tabs are AWESOME and help you route the cable out of the way, completely.Again, I just took one star off because it doesn't bend at the base. I could see why, as this might create an imbalance in the suction... but the mount where the phone sits tilts well. The benefit of it bending at the base would make it less visible to other divers and put it closer to me.Overall, I would recommend this product!****** EDITED 1/25/2015After a few months, the tab that attached to my dash area for the suction cup to attach to slowly decayed, and the glue was of no use for the backing. It is now mounted to my windshield and I really don't like where it is, but I'm dealing with it. I like the options for charging, and it fits my huge phone, so I'm keeping it and not looking elsewhere. However, I really wish all the glue backing to all of the pieces had been worth it. NONE of them have survived since I posted this review.

meaning I could only throw it in the garbage! I was SO happy with it before that
I would have given this item 5 full stars, but after only a little less than one and 1/2 months, the usb connection somehow became loose and broke inside, meaning I could only throw it in the garbage!I was SO happy with it before that, until the usb connection was cutting in and out.I have a Droid Turbo in a case, and it worked great.I'm not abusive with things, and the charger was in the same position the whole time. I keep looking at the charger, trying to figure out how the usb connection could have been hit or pressed on in order to get loose and eventually break, but I can't find any reason. The usb cord gets plugged in once, then you simply put the phone in the cradle and press in on the sides, and the phone is held in place. One touch button on the back releases the phone when you're done. There's no reason to fiddle with the usb cord, which is why I can't figure out the reason it became loose and broke inside.I took the thing apart to see if I could fix something, but nope…it was broken clean off.My only hope on recouping a few dollars is the fact the coils appear to be copper, so my hubby can hopefully get a few dollars when he takes it with other metal to the scrap yard.I need a wireless car charger, and the other options on Amazon look to be the same product, only under other brand names, and some people had the same problem with those chargers as I did with this. So, I'm ordering the cheaper Powerbot wireless car charger that's *only* $29.99, instead of the almost $45 I paid for this one that broke.I'm hoping I'm not being a sucker by buying another one, but like I said, I really need something to hold my phone, and I'd prefer it be wireless charging so as not to wear out the usb port on my phone.Very disappointed and unhappy to be out all that money!**UPDATE: The company did reply to this review, and when I contacted them as requested, they offered to replace the broken unit. I was pleased with this. However, my life became crazy as we moved, and the unit was stored away in a box for a long time. I just recently found it, and it was past the year warranty--my fault for not returning it asap. I've no doubt they would have made good, so I upped the rating to 3 stars for that reason. I did buy another PowerBot unit--a different one that was less expensive, and that has held up as far as the USB port is concerned. The one problem I experienced is that the unit heated my phone up so badly, that I had to stop using the Qi charging. I only use it as a dock to hold the phone now, and manually plug in my phone to charge. I since gave that one to my daughter, and ordered just a cheaper dock.In conclusion, if you have any problems with your unit, the company IS willing to make it right!

Perfect except for two little annoyances that might not be the charger's fault
Works great for the most part. I use my phone to listen to audiobooks in the car. This charger works fine to keep it charged while in use. There are two issues with it, and I'm not sure whether they are issues with the charger, or my phone and my car. First, every time the charger kicks on, it beeps and flashes a message. After it's fully charged up, it turns off. When depleted a little bit, it turns back on, again with a beep and a message. Every time it does this, the audio hiccups and backs up a word or two. I've searched my Galaxy S5 for options to disable this with no success. Maybe it's the phone, I don't know. The second issue is that I have it plugged into the USB interface to 2014 Buick Enclave. The nav system keeps complaining about an invalid USB device. It doesn't do this when I plug the phone directly into that port, only when this charger is in place. Again, don't know if it's the charger or the car that's the problem. It sits nicely secure on the windshield mount, adjustable to exactly the angle I want. Being in front of an AC vent, it keeps the phone cool during the hot Texas summers. On days I'm in and out of the car constantly, it's a treat not to have to mess with plugging in every time - just drop and drive. All in all, the benefits outweigh the two little annoyances.
