Teng TT1236Metric Combination Spanner Set (12 Pieces)

I have other Teng bits and bobs, I am slowly accumulating everything I need rather than alerting the household financial controller by purchasing a full kit. The Spanners are Teng, the finish is excellent, a nice matte affair. The size range is very good and the 12 point rings work just fine, no doubts on strength or durability. I like the angle you get with the rings which does make things easier where you maybe have to reach or need some leverage, this aspect really does help. I have used these for around four weeks now with no issues at all other than other people constantly loaning them, which is fine till one goes missing... As other reviewers have said the inner box is a grey plastic divider, which works, but I have some concerns over its durability, am sure in time it will become cracked and flimsy which is a shame. However, the outer case is the usual Teng standard Red, nice and solid, you can take the lid off if you have a chest with trays, Ive kept mine on as as I said they are always being loaned and it's easier to hand someone the box and expect the full box back than asking for your colleagues to be stripped searched to look for your 17mm. I already knew what to expect on the inner tray from other reviews so I cannot mark this down, I just wish it were a moulded plastic or even metal and rubber lined insert. You cannot have everything at such a good price point. Spanners that work, in the seductive red Teng box, and they also come with a spanner sticker to help you remember which drawer you have them in, Five Stars.

Tenges have a good reputation. I have used the same spanners for 50 years and been able to do most jobs over that time. But lately I have found modern cars use far more even numbered sizes instead of the 13, 15, 17, 19 sizes that cars and spanner sets used to be in. So I decided it was time to buy a quality set that included even numbers as well. This Teng set contains a good range of spanners at a competitive price when compared to other quality manufacturers. I fitted foam inside the lid as the rattling of the spanners inside the plastic case annoyed me. So far the case has done its job. I have used the spanners changing various suspension components on a car that has done 90k+ and was pleased with their performance. They are not the shiniest spanners I have ever seen but they feel strong and fit securely so I am pleased with my purchase.

Good quality strong item tools set

Right i love Teng Tools they are of excellent quality and have a lifetime guarantee which is why i always use them. Yes they are a bit more expensive but if you plan on using them for quite a while then they are worth it. Only issue i have with these spanners is the box witch i have seen people mention in other reviews but i decided to buy them anyway. The spanners are flawless the finish on them are beautiful looking forward to giving them some hard work. But the box i have to say i am very disappointed with it. With a brand like Teng Tools honestly they should of build a better box to house the spanners because the one they use for this particular set is very cheap plastic and there is some wear on the box already and i haven't even used them yet. Really cannot believe how cheap and shabby it looks and feels. I bought a socket set from Teng and the box is absolutely amazing its solid and rugged. But the box of this spanner set is a bad joke. That is the only thing that is disheartening about this set. And if on the of chance Teng make a sturdier box to house these spanners then i would buy it because i cannot see this box lasting long the lid looks like its gonna snap after a few opens and closes. But sure if your looking for a quality set and don't mind the box then really these are the right set they are very good for a young engineer to a master craftsman you can not go wrong with these spanners and the speed of delivery was very good and the price is the best on the market i can not complain there.

Value for money and in a sturdy box

Nicely made, and with no significant drawbacks. I'd say they were slightly light, which helps a bit with control, and the frosted texture makes them grippy. The plastic case isn't the best, but at the price, who cares? They're a good sweet spot, clearly superior to budget wrenches - nicely made of high quality steel - but without the nonsense factor of some of the very expensive options. Unless you've really got some special requirement, these are a solid choice for most purposes.

Quality is Teng, so well made from good metal goes without saying! Packed nice and neat in tray which drops straight into toolbox and will clip onto any other teng sets one may have the good fortune to own. Spanners have always been a chore to rummage through for the one I want, and the noise they make clanging against each other drives me to distraction. This is the most effective and compact spanner rack/tray I have come across. Arrived on time and at a fair price, what more could one want . . . except maybe more trays to store my inferior spanners too!

Another good example of why Teng is my preferred hand tool manufacturer. These spanners feel well made and are extremely tough. They’re comfortable in the hand and are reassuringly well weighted. My only criticism is that there is some very minor surface rust is appearing on them - that being said i was working on my car outside in the rain (great fun..) when they got wet so I accept partial blame for the the surface rust appearing in the first instance. Looking back I should of bought their full range of spanners as I’m always looking for the larger sizes. Nevertheless I’m happy with this product and would highly recommend them to anyone.

In my younger days, Teng tools were quite expensive in Australia, and was considered quite good for a Taiwanese product. Now they seem fairly cheap compared to other products, but still very good. I bought these spanners as a back-up tool, and have been using these without any issue what-so-ever. They have their limits, but comparable to Facom, Gedore or even Stahlwille, within reason of course.

I'm just starting out as a professional technician and have been buying a LOT of tools to get up to speed. I have been trying out different brands, and been looking for organization and storage solutions that are very efficient, because I don't have a huge multi thousand dollar toolbox yet at this point in my career. I'm so glad I found Teng tools. They aren't the cheapest tools you can buy, but they are significantly less than tools off the "trucks", and are of comparable quality from what I've used. The fact that they sell complete sets without skips and in modular organizer cases that are standard sizes is a huge upside, and I'm converted to Teng for my career hand tools. My only concern is the cases though. They are pretty good quality and I think they will last a while, but I'm sure they will eventually break. I don't see any options to buy replacement inserts for the tool sets only generic boxes. I hope they add a way to purchase the tool specific inserts in the future, so I can keep my box well organized for years to come.

La verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho. Las llaves parecen robustas y bien acabadas. La caja que las contiene ayuda mucho a su almacenamiento y, teniendo en cuenta todos los comentarios al respecto, me ha sorprendido el plástico gris interior; no es tan endeble como pensaba... En definitiva, un buen set de llaves si quieres invertir un poquito más en herramientas de calidad.
