Too small
I actually like these ice grippers and if they were a bit bigger they would be brilliant. I wear mucker boots in the cold wet muddy/ snowy weather. Most mucker boots are unisex and I wear size 8Because these grips don't fit the heel of my boots well they tend to slip backwards toward the back of the heel and so opening up a gap that fills with ice/ snow. I have to keep stopping to pull the grip back into place on the heel.I still like them the best of the grips I own as the front of the foot has no grips at all so when you reach a non icy bit of pavement or get on a bus you can walk slightly lifting your heels without removing the grips. Most ice grippers say to remove the grips in such a situation including these but I see many people including myself who leave ice grippers on as it can be impractical to keep putting on or removing grips when just nipping to the shops for a loaf of bread etc so these still my favourite grips. Manufacturers please make a large size not just medium thanks!

Icy heel grip
I bought some of these as well as some of the AA grips (which fit behind the ball of the foot) for my Mum (78) to try. She felt more confident in these and found them OK to put on and off to go into shops. (Wearing both together was good for confidence and stability but was more hassle when going into shops). The straps are long and she found it was much better to fasten them with the excess strap on the outside of the foot so she didn't stand on the strap with the other foot. The grippers are robust which should mean they wear well but it does make them slightly bulky to carry around when shopping. They are OK to keep on on clear patches where the ice has melted. The only other thing I'd say is about sizing. I bought large ones because they were the only size available. They fit her size 5 hiking boots and are OK on my size 7s but I don't think they'd fit so well on anything much wider.

Not yet tried on ice but fits!
I guess I shouldn't review something until I've really used it but I'm going to Norway for Christmas and was recommended to buy some anti-slip Ice Grippers. I looked at what's on offer and read the good and bad points on the various types. One thing that concerned me is that a lot of them aren't suitable for the Ugg style boots - no problem with these. They also seem quick and easy to put on and off, and won't come off until you want them too.Our only problem now is that my husband wants some too and it seems only Medium up to size 8 is on offer on Amazon. Surely they make them in a larger size??

Easy to attach
I bought these for my elderly mother and, unlike other ice grippers, she could easily attach and remove these from her shoes. She hasn't had a chance to test them on ice and snow, but they look like they'll work. I was a bit disappointed that the reflective tab at the back of one of the heels fell off, but I was able to glue it back on.

Good value
I'd previously bought (and lost whilst walking in the snow) a pair of cleats that you just pulled over your shoes, so this time i wanted something I could attach to my feet. These ice grippers don't disappoint. I walked for 2 hours on more or less sheet ice and they didn't let me down. This is a major achievement for me as I'm ridiculously pathetic walking on any ice at all. These ice grippers are also considerably more comfortable than my previous pair and very reasonably priced. The only moments of slight panic are when you are walking up a steep hill, as you feel the ball of your foot sliding away, but I came to no harm. They also arrived a lot quicker than I'd expected, given that they were shipped from Germany.Yes, highly recommended. Roll on next winter - I'm ready for you.
