“Every star in the night sky would have to burn out before it isn’t River.”⠀✨⠀After Rain Falls is the book that broke me this year.⠀~and we’re only in February~⠀This is the second book in the River of Rain duet so please make sure you pick up Follow the River before reading this book!⠀I loved everything about this book, after having my soul forcefully ripped from my body in the last book, I was fully prepared (or so I thought) for the pain in this book. It still broke me. It broke me goooood. I felt every single painful moment of this story, the sheer need to protect River and Rain while also wanting to shake some sense into them is something that I loved.⠀The truly raw and brutal emotions CE Ricci puts down on paper is something to worship and Rivain’s story is not one for the faint of heart. I’ve got to say for a good 60% of the book I was crying 🙃 and the other 40% I was sending voice messages to the author, hounding her with my emotions. (Sorry)⠀Although their story is over, River and Rain will forever be two characters that have stolen a piece of my heart and I don’t think I’ll ever let them go 🖤⠀It’s a very vague review ‘cause you gotta go in blind with this one but just know it’s so worth every single heartache.⠀“People only obsess over each other when things between them are left unfinished.”⠀⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - all the stars/5ARC read for a honest review

An absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching love story. CE Ricci is a class above when it comes to writing deep deep love stories. I absolutely do not want to let river and rain go. I wish so much there was a third story😞

After reading the first book, it took me a good month to finally allow myself to read this. My heart was wrecked. The story was so heartbreakingly beautiful, I knew this book was going to be hard going. And I wasn't wrong. What River and Rain go through is nothing short of agony. But it was worth it. The entire journey was worth it. I loved it. These characters stole my heart and will remain with me forever.

Ahh I just don’t know where to start, I just bloody love these 2 books, CE Ricci thank you. I didn’t know I needed these books but I did and they will stay with me. I had all the emotions u could ever think of, I love the added songs that I could play at the time they needed to be played to get the full effect from your words. I just loved It all.There are triggers that u must be aware of they are 100% there but done so well. For me 10/10

Rain and River. A bond stronger than the most heinous of acts upon them. Their stubbornness keeps the twists going but my gosh it's exhausting. CE ricci is a new writer to me and these two last book's I read the reviews for as if it has triggers, which it does,then would it be too heavy a story?......no I've read other writers with the same subjects and whilst your rooting for their hea it's up to the reader how much it affects you. I'm not going to lie I loved the latter part of the book when the relationship is building on steadier ground.

Bloody hell this book!! I feel so emotionally attached to this book. Rain and River hold a very special place in my heart. This is a book that I will come back to again and again.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Please read the trigger warnings. This book will not be for everyone.

After Rain Falls was breathtakingly perfect for me!!!Not many authors can combine so much heartache and passion in so short of a space but CE Ricci manages this in an undeniable way that can only be described as my heart being broken beyond repair but getting repaired anyway!!!Rain and River really brought me to unbelievable places, the thumping of my heart and my love for them both was challenged throughout the story and it didn't get easier, they have so many issues that have to be worked through and that HEA does not come easy and I think I loved that so much more then anything else.I am in no doubt this duetbwill be amongst those i highly recommend, it was truly powerful story of love and heartache that will captivate you from the beginning of Follow the River until the very end.

I enjoyed this, for the most part. My heart spent some time breaking for River. And then the back and forth, got and cold, on and off got too monotonous and I had to start skimming a few bits to keep me sane. Thankfully once the real action resumed things improved greatly. Then my heart spent a little bit of time hurting for Rain. And finally all was well with a super sweet ending. Plus a bonus epilogue which I assume sets us up for a new series? Reading it won't leave you hanging, though. It's safe.
